Vinyasa means ‘to move with the breath.’ Some of the most popular yoga styles, including Ashtanga and Power Yoga, are taught in a vinyasa style – meaning the series of poses flows purposefully with the breath. Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutations) are a series of poses that create inner heat, fill your body with solar energy, and are a gesture of gratitude to the sun.

There are three traditional versions of Sun Salutations: Classical Sun Salutation, Sun Salutation A, and Sun Salutation B. This class goes through each version three times each, holding each pose the first time through, and moving with the breath the second two rounds.
