Alanna Kaivalya  Flower

Alanna Kaivalya, Ph.D., is an author, educator, and former international yoga teacher whose work helped shape the early landscape of online yoga education.

She began teaching yoga in 2001 and training teachers in 2003, eventually teaching workshops, retreats, teacher trainings, philosophy, mythology, and yoga practice around the world. She founded The Kaivalya Yoga Method and partnered with YogaDownload in 2015 to launch the first fully online yoga teacher training, helping make comprehensive professional yoga education available to students far beyond the traditional studio setting.

Her yoga work includes the books Myths of the Asanas, Sacred Sound, and Yoga Beyond the Mat, as well as hundreds of classes, workshops, articles, podcasts, trainings, and teachings created over more than two decades.

Alanna holds a Ph.D. in Mythological Studies with an emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. In 2023, after building The Kaivalya Yoga Method into a seven-figure professional education company, she sold the business and concluded that chapter of her professional work.

Today, Alanna is the author of The Way of the Satisfied Woman: Reclaiming Feminine Power, founder of The Satisfied Woman, and creator of The Satisfied Method™, a contemporary feminine psychology framework focused on women’s satisfaction and sovereignty. She now teaches and trains women through her writing, private coaching, podcast, and professional coaching certification.
