Welcome to Day 17 of the 21-Day Yoga Challenge: Time to Shine!

Welcome back, challengers.

You can probably sense the finish line. While it can get easy to look ahead, yoga is about presence. Try your best to be with each and every breath in your practice today. Notice the moments where your body opens in the poses, without getting caught up on progress.

This practice is really about the journey. The paradox of yoga is that there is never a finish line. There is not a day, no matter how much time you’ve spent on your mat, that you’ve mastered every pose. It’s in the journey, and in actually practicing, that the progress and magic happens. It’s not about where you’re going or trying to get to, it’s about staying at the perfect edge of your comfort zone.

Today’s class with Rob invites you on the journey towards Compass pose, which is sometimes a more challenging posture to get into. Elise’s class opens your heart and hips, and will have you feeling good.

Healthy Hips, Happy Heart with Elise Fabricant

40 min class | Level: All Levels | Intensity: Ahhhhhh

All levels of practitioners will benefit from this slower paced class to help blossom open the often stagnant heart and hips are of the body. Elise will guide you through a carefully designed sequence of stretches to bring more fluidity into your hip area and brightness to your heart. Play your edge in lunges, backbends and balancing poses, taking this practice as far as you need in order to blossom open more fully.

Journey Toward Compass Pose with Rob Loud

65 min class | Level: All Levels | Intensity: You'll Feel It

This class works toward compass pose (vishvamitrasana), a rather advanced posture that asks a lot of our side bodies, hamstrings, and shoulders. Recognizing that your enlightenment is not hinging on your ability to get into ANY pose and that it's more about focusing on the journey, this fun flow with plentiful options will open and warm you sufficiently to at least give it a try! The only prerequisite is your engaged sense of humor and adventure, and as always, your ability to breathe!
