This class works you into Parivrtta Surya Yantrasana, or compass pose. We all have an internal compass, that voice or gut feeling that guides us, but we're not always in touch with it. As you become the compass, you are reminded to listen to the guidance from within.
This is an excellent class for any athletes with tight hips or hamstrings as we will focus on creating length in both of those areas to move into and create the pose. This class sneaks up on you because it starts gentle, but then moves you into a challenging balancing sequence.

Challenging but a really good flow, lots of stretching and inward focus.
This is a long class - but having said that, you do work up to it very well. Lots of stretches, flows and movements that build towards the end. I wasn t holding out for the end and there is no way I am ready for elephant or compass pose but I certainly felt more stretched and toned. I love Kylie s voice as well - very soothing!
Really enjoyed the session. Slightly advanced for me as I m still a beginner in theory, but I knew this as I like to challenge myself. Great instructor- easy to follow her guide.

Certainly challenging for me...but wanted to try something different. Stopped at the happy baby variations...way beyond my capabilities. But I do feel stretched and elongated.
Loved it! As promised, started out slow and then moved on to ever more challenging asanas, but in an accessible and gentle way. My hips feel great afterwards.

Another amazing class from Kyle ! I m not ablt to do the compass pose, but I really enjoyed all the poses to get there. She has a very calm and clear way of explaining the flow.
Great class to get into splits and compass.
Great challenging class!! I feel very open in my hamstrings and I was impressed to ALMOST make it into split....but, didn’t make it to compass pose.
I really enjoyed this class! It was challenging, but Kylie gave great instructions throughout the class and offered modifications to some of the poses. While I wasn t able to get into full compass mode, I got closer than the last time I took the class, so progress!
Intellectual sequencing to lead you almost effortlessly into the peak pose. Calm and gentle instruction. Enjoyed this class even though hamstring opening tends to be my nemesis (extreme distance runner here). Thank you!

Great class and challenging flow
I really liked the variation on sun salutations in the beginning as new way to start off class, and I think it really helped prepare me for the peak pose. The pose just before the peak pose though.. wow... I think that one was even more challenging! I will try this class again to keep working up to it.
Amazing class. Gradual build up to the peak pose; every move has a purpose. Perfect for introspection since, thankfully, there is no extraneous chatter. The soundtrack still is the generic YogaDownload track that is distracting, but the class is so good sometimes you do not notice the annoying music. Thank you Kylie!
Kylie challenges you with a clear purpose. Great build up to peak pose (which I will never be able to do) with great strength and stretch.
A great class to open the hips and stretch the hamstrings. Compass pose is an absolute challenge and Kylie does a great job getting the body ready for it. Thanks!
Excellent, last 20 min of work out harder than I can do but I made an attempt, she builds up to peak pose well. Kylie is a great instructor, not lots of extra chatter.
I agree with other reviewers - great cueing from the instructor with a deliberate set of poses that build to the peak pose. While I don t have full compass pose in my practice, this class got me deeper into the pose than I ve ever achieved before. Definitely recommended!

Great class . Slow progression and adding on. Challenging with long holding of poses. Works up to compass pose which is achievable due to the great hip and hamstring openers. Excellent cueing! Will definitely add to my favorites
Another great class from Kylie. Good clear instruction. Progression and flow was great. I appreciated holding the poses longer in preparation for the compass pose. Thanks to the lead in, I successfully accomplished the compass pose for the first time. This one will definitely be in my library.

This is an absolutely wonderful class. I did this class the day after a leg-intensive workout, and I believe it really helped work out some soreness I had as a result. It is a great leg workout, in itself, but works the core and arms as well. The teacher is one of the best on yogadownload. This is a class I will definitely return to to help perfect my compass.

Excellent flow for hips and hams. Highly recommend it for runners. Kylie gives great direction and instruction to help you improve your poses to get best effect.
Challenging flow - good poses, good instructions. Would be nice to have an alternative to compass for those who can t get into the full pose. Great hip opener.
This was my first stream of videos from yoga download and I am pleased to say that I am very happy with my purchase! This class was a great pace and offered excellent cueing and interesting sequencing. I really enjoyed it! I am a yoga teacher myself and I found that it was challenging enough, I will definitely be looking for more classes from Kylie. :)
One of my favorite classes so far!
I ve taken Kylie s classes in person, and this seriously was like being in the yoga studio with her! The timing and cues are great and she really helps you move past the discomfort of the poses to find a new place. So great!
Kylie s classes are always so well paced, and she gives such great direction. I definitely need to revisit this session as my compass resembled more of a sitting crow ;)

Another great class by Kylie! She gives perfect cues, and is creative in her sequencing. Always just the right amount of challenge. This class really got my hips and hamstrings open, and while I couldn t get into full expression of compass, I feel like I will be able to if I keep practicing. Thank you!
This was the first class I have downloaded from yoga download and I thought it was fantastic. The instructions were simple and clear and the progression of the postures enabled me to get to a position I didn t think would be possible.
This was a great challenge in a couple of ways: I came closer to splits and compass than I have, thanks to all the careful prep that went into them. Great, super-clear cueing and a number of variations. Wonderful.
I really liked this class, started slow with a chatarunga sequence, then amped up the holding poses for legs. interesting poses there at the end, my hips feels totally loose now!
I really enjoyed this class. Great cueing and flow. I will definitely return this again as well as checking out some more of Kylies classes.
