Amazing class to open my tight hips, so glad I found this one. Movement is 26 minutes and savasana is the remaining time. This will be added to my favorites for the days I need some gentle movement to stretch and recover. Thank you!!

New favorite. Good balance of accessible and challenging. Quick pace without being too quick. Instructor s cues are clear and concise.

I can always use hip opening, so this was a great class for me. Moved a tiny bit fast for my skill level, so I guess I am an advancing beginner rather than an advanced beginner! :)
Good cues, appreciate the reminders to breathe deep and relax into the poses. Very positive and upbeat instructor!

I have tight hips all the time and this class was great at loosening them up! She gave clear instructions that were easy to follow. I will be adding this to my favorites and coming back to it!

Excellent class! Worth twice the short 30 minutes it takes to do it. Ellen is a superb instructor; her cues are clear and deliberate; you re never lost and never find yourself having to stop and look at the screen to find out what s going on (which unfortunately is the case with so many other YogaDownload instructors). Thank you Ellen for a perfect start to my day!

Did as part of YDL 30 day, 30 minute yoga challenge, I have done before and it is in my favorites, but never publicly reviewed. It is a fantastic class, need to do a lot more often, excellent instruction, some different moves to open up the hips.

Yey, day 5! Finanly getting into this challenge. I know it’s finished now but i have practiced with this now for the last 3 concecutive days. Perhaps cos it’s Easter, hopefully can fit this in during normal time. I feel great practicing every day. Thank you Ellen for this lovely hip opening class. x

I wasn t wanting to come to my mat today, but I m glad I challenged myself to keep going and do this class. It was a little fast paced for me today, it s been a hectic day, but the stretches were just what I needed. Loved it, and will return to get better at this class over time.

Good lunch time stretch but not after leg day at the gym! I had to laugh at myself a few times. Couldn t hold some of those poses. True beginner here lol!

I didn t get the results I wanted from this practice (I still feel my left hip tight and sore), probably because it was challenging for me at some parts. But I think it has very good stretches and with continued practice I ll feel the benefits I want.

This is excellent and one I will return to for opening the hips. I m beginning to have knee problems, so a few of the poses were too challenging. But I listened to what she said the target of the pose was and moved into it until I felt that. Hopefully continued practice will have me in the full poses.

Decent class. I was surprised when move #1 was a half bridge - I felt this was a jarring way to start my day and didn t really like it, so the class kinda lost me after that, and it s likely why I m rating it much lower than others. If I ignore that aspect of it, though, I agree with others that the hip openers were unique and effective. Did this with my husband, who is newer to yoga, and he appreciated the pace of the class.

This is a GREAT FLOW. I enjoy this yoga channel very much and this is a new addition to rotate into my regular practice.
Cueing is excellent, it is an everyday namaste with options to go deeper or more advanced, and at just about 30 minutes, it gives my everything I need to wake up my body, get circulation going, and start my day with the right attitude.

I liked this class increasingly as it progressed. Ellen clearly demonstrates and instructs, giving precise body and breath cues. My calves were tight today after a steep hill walk yesterday so I was a bit wobbly on lunges but the overall effect was good and I liked the new variations offered.

What a lovely, interesting class! There were a number of postures, or at least variations of postures, that I d never done before. I loved how well Ellen explained what you should do, what you should feel, what to focus on. I tend to dislike video classes because often they are dependent on the visual and require stopping to look at the screen. This one had excellent cuing that made that unnecessary most of the time and helped me understand the postures better.
While hips are my usual tension-and-trouble spot, this week I ve been having upper back and shoulder pain. I chose this class because I d been focusing so much on upper back and thought it was time for some variety. The class ended up being helpful for shoulders and upper back too! Thanks, Ellen.

This class did exactly what it said it would - stretched and released my hips in a quick 30 minutes. I m currently pregnant with my fourth child and my hips seem to be bearing the brunt of it. This class was perfect for them and I ll definitely be doing it again.
