Yoga for Skiers and Snowboarders: 7-Class Package

Whether you're just starting out on the bunny slopes, or seasoned on double-black diamonds, yoga will enhance your winter sports experience by making you safer, stronger, and more fluid on the slopes. This yoga for winter sports program is comprised of seven classes that are specially designed to practice before you hit the mountain or to stretch after your day on the slopes.

A yoga routine as a warm-up for skiing or snowboarding is beneficial to make your body more limber, stronger, centered, and also increase body and mind coordination. If you are tight, it can hinder your winter sports experience and make injury more likely. The more open your body is, the more enjoyable winter sports become, and more importantly, the safer you will be on the mountain. Because of this, this program puts extra focus on the feet, calves, core, hamstrings, quads, and hips, which are the muscles most important as you ski or board. If you're looking to advance your skills, yoga also makes you a better skier or snowboarder!

After a day of snow sports, the body can be extremely tight, and the post-ski and snowboard yoga classes in this program help you stretch and unwind. Even a short après-ski yoga session can help you recover faster, which can also help prevent injuries the next time you go.

When you’re careening down a snow-covered mountain, it’s also important for your mind to be in the game. Honing your mental focus and connection to your mind through yoga will help enhance your skills. Athletes of all kinds know that a clear attentive mind is the key to success on the slopes and yoga's benefits for winter sports in this regard go beyond just stretching.

All classes in this program are between 20 - 50 minutes long, making it easy for you to find a class that suits the amount of time you have. If you want to improve your skills on your skis, stay safer on the mountain, or increase your mental focus, this program is for you!
