I have a love/hate relationship with kundalini yoga... it´s challening in a way you wouldn t expect it. That being said, I loved this class! Short enough to do on a rush, but gave me a good sweat. WIll definitely repeat this one.

So not yoga my kind of class. Too fast (physically) and to shallow (spiritually).

I think of this class as yogic cross-training! It s quite different from the vinyasa yoga, and worked a lot of the muscles that I found I d been neglecting. Guru Jagat s teaching style is a nice blend of the spiritual and practical, so whatever your reason for doing yoga, she will give you motivation. Warning for those new to kundalini: The vigorous cat-cows will give you a sore neck. I learned my lesson the first time and now take them at a slower pace.

Unique. Fun. I enjoy this a few mornings a week to get my day and body going with a smile, and go into the world all warm and energized. Delicious sense of humor.

Pros: Interesting moves; very energetic, short class that makes you sweat.
Cons: those fast Cat/cows moves made my neck ache for more than 24 hours after the class and to me are not safe at all. Mantras are not my thing, so I thought they were a little too much as well as the endless and distracting chatting. The teacher even said several times: i m sweating just by look at you guys doing it, but I m not gonna do it, while looking at her papers for the next cue.
Finally, I think it was a bit posey of her to put herself in an elevated altar, surrounded by flowers, all dressed in white. Really Guru style - which is not my type of thing.

I love Guru s classes! She has the best sense of humor and her classes are amazing, too. Thank you, Guru.

surprising! Short and intense with simple mouvements. I love the fact that she explains the science behind the nature of the yogic movements in this class.

First time to do this type of yoga- it is a good workout and also very spiritual. I like the mantras and Oms!

I didn t feel at all sweaty after this, but it did energize me. The only pose I didn t quite get how to do properly was the naval pumping. I will happily try again though!!

This felt a bit haphazard and frightening...as in flailing your arms and hoping there is no injury. It was difficult...but I gotta say I feel a lot of energy in my arms and feet now. I def will do this on winter days when I need to get warm!

I did this workout yesterday as part of the 21 day challenge. Initially after the class I felt energized but wasn t sure this was the style of yoga for me. What made me come back to leave this review was how clear headed I felt this morning. I think I will revisit this class in the future.

I am usually a fan of Kundalini yoga, but this class wasn t quite to my liking. I found it very difficult to maintain my focus on my breath during the poses. However, I do feel more clarity of mind, so the class achieved its goal!

Very interesting class...my first time practicing Kundalini. It delivered as promised--it was a quick and hard workout. But I m not sure it s for me. I m very big on posture and there was not guidance about that and I worry about injury.

Nice to try this style of yoga/exercise and overall my body does feel energized. Not a fan of classes and movements that are focused on burning calories and would rather a flow that focuses on connecting mind, body and spirit.
Great to try and see what it was like!

I did this class as part of the 21 day challenge. I have never done Kundalini yoga before. I felt it was very different from what I am used to in a yoga class. I m not sure what I think of it. I do think I ll give it another try. I really liked the simple, but quick cardio workout. I feel really energized and strengthened right now.

I ve never done the Kundalini practice. The beginning was a little too OMy for me as I have my own spiritual practice, but I loved the rest of it. I love the cuing and the humor. Keep n it real. Had to modify the jacks but this has me wanting to explore her other classes. I ve never done anything like it and wonder where it s been. I m giving 5 stars to bump up the rating so others might give it a try.

Whew! That was a workout! I am super sweaty and surprised lol! This was my second one I ve done of hers and the first I didn t like because it was the belly dancing one and not what I expected. This was good and would do it again.

I took a kundalini class years ago and wasn t crazy about it so I didn t have high expectations for Guru Jagat s class but being open to what one s doesn t like is also part of the 21 days challenge.
Overall I enjoyed the fast pace of the class, was not very comfortable with the high-speed cat and cow at the beginning of the set so I did it at a slower pace. Guru Jagat s position and comments were a tad annoying but again, I guess it s all part of how kundalini works and being exposed to her version of it was sort of interesting.
Finally, I practiced very late in the evening, maybe not a good idea since this class is quite energizing and perhaps better for the morning.

I ve never done Kundalini yoga...didn t feel like yoga in any way.The very fast cat/cow seems dangerous in my mind, especially if you have a bad lower back (as I do) you ll get injured working that fast. More of a gym-like cardio class.

I did this class as part of the 21 day challenge. I ve never done kundalini yoga before so this was a very... different experience for me. From the chanting to the outfit/throne position of the instructor, I found a lot of it to be more distracting than anything. The moves themselves are very simple but seem to focus a lot on cardiovascular HIIT-style moves and balance/core work. That and the comments made by the instructor throughout made it seem to me like the focus was more "quick calorie burning workout!" than yoga practice. But again, I am not familiar with kundalini yoga so I may be a bit harsh in my reactions. I would do this class again only if I was looking to sneak some quick cardio into my day.

As true as yoga and everything about it is, Guru Jagat has started to ring false with me. It just rubs me the wrong way. Like Kundalini. Would rather take classes by so eons like Gloria Latham.

This was unlike anything I have ever done before. It was so interesting to work out the mind and central nervous system. Very cool.
