Hamstrings, Hips & Hanuman

Kylie Larson

This class is a slow flow focused on the lower half of the body, mainly the hips, hamstrings and quadriceps. Because of the physical focus, this class is great for any athlete, gym rat or regular Joe with tight hamstrings.

After spending time stretching the above mentioned body parts, you will give Hanumanasana, or the splits, a try. If you've never done hanumanasana before, give this class a try! This class isn't for the people who are naturally flexible, this class is for all my tight, inflexible friends!

Shakti Flow: Yoga and Dance

Deb Rubin

In this class, we are going to move our yoga practice from the mat into the dance! Through the empowering, core-focused art-form of Tribal Fusion Belly Dance, we awaken Shakti and bring the Nataraj to life. We begin with vinyasa yoga on the mat to open the hips, energize the fluid spine, connect to the core, and prep the body for dancing. We then weave our yoga directly into the dance with an introduction to the earthy, serpentine movements and body positions of Tribal Fusion Belly Dance. Deeply invoke the divine feminine, and feel energized and inspired in your body! Let's dance!

Practice Patience Flow

Claire Petretti Marti

We all need a little patience...right? If patience is one of your challenges, try this juicy flow culminating in Hanumanasana (splits). It doesn't matter if you make it into the peak pose. The effort, the patience and mental calm you utilize to work toward it is the true reward. Open hamstrings and hip flexors are a sweet benefit too! You can’t force it, you just have to breathe and wait for it to open…it's all about the practice.

Sita, Rama & Hanuman: Unconditional Love

Jeanie Manchester

This class id dedicated to the trio Sita, Rama and Hanuman. The Great epic tale of the Ramayana is briefly described here. Sita, the goddess of unconditional love teaches us about compassion under any situation. This class moves us slowly and steadily to the great splits, Hanumanasana. The great leap across the ocean where masculine and feminine, in-breath and out-breath unite. This class focuses on breath and some hamstring alignment. We start with some flow and standing postures, and then move more slowly to the ground. It's a great class for those who want to move towards the splits, but need to move more slowly to get there.

Stepping Stones to Flexibility

Isaac Peña

In this class, we begin by taking the major and minor joints through their rotations, leading into a bit of core work to heat the body, then on to the much deeper work. Through spinal undulations, deep pigeons and lunges, we eventually get to bridges and splits both done on the ground as well as using the wall and a partner to assit in going deeper.

Love to Flow 2

Jackie Casal Mahrou

If you LOVE to FLOW, and/or if you LOVE Jackie's first Love to Flow class, then this is the class for you.

Jackie guides you through a warming flow that focuses on opening your hips and chest while giving you space to explore postures such as Handstand, a Visvamitrasana (Compass Pose) variation, Surya Yantrasana (Sundial Pose) and more!

This class is not about physical alignment or long holds of postures (even though both ARE very important), but rather about embracing presence, sensation, and intuition in order to find a moving meditation.

Hanuman's Journey - The Tale of Friendship

Alanna Kaivalya

Hanuman is a character in our yogic mythology that embodies friendship and compassion. He uses his dedication to his friendship to overcome fear and achieve impossible feats. When we embody this story through our asana practice, we are given the opportunity not only to release fear in our body, but to understand that Hanuman's journey reflects our own as we use love and friendship to inspire us to achieve the impossible! This class features an intelligently sequenced vinyasa practice that centers around the mythology and philosophy of the tale of the Ramayana and Hanuman's journey within it.
