7-Class Gentle Hatha Yoga Series

This is slow and gentle yoga series will soothe and relax your body and mind like nothing else. In each of these seven all-levels classes, you will move slowly and have time to hold each yoga posture so you can soak in and reap the full benefits. Throughout the series, Jackie reminds you to breathe deeply and invites you to let each posture be more of a surrender and less of a struggle. While each style of yoga has unique benefits, faster-paced styles of yoga can too easily become just another rushed part of a hectic day. We all need space to breathe, feel, and reconnect. Gentle Hatha yoga is unique in that it gives you deep and satisfying stretches, and also gives you an opportunity to nourish your mind, body, and spirit. Unlike other gentle styles like Yin and Restorative, there is a blend of both standing and seated postures in this style, which gives you more of a full-body experience. You'll get thorough yoga sequences, without feeling rushed. When your body slows down, your mind has the opportunity to relax as well. Throughout these classes, you'll notice a release of tension in your body and more calm and centeredness.

These classes are led by expert teacher Jackie Casal Mahrou. She is a Denver-based teacher who has been teaching on YogaDownload for over a decade. She believes that yoga can awaken us to the vast capacity of our hearts, minds, and spirits so that we can live wholehearted and fulfilling lives.

This series was originally audio classes recorded beginning in 2006, as some of the first YogaDownload classes, that have been recreated and remastered on video. Give yourself the solace to go within and relax deeply with this series.
