BKS Iyengar was born in the town of Bellur, India in 1918. He began his yoga journey when he was 15 years old, when he went to Mysore, India, and studied yoga with his teacher Krishnamacharya. His best-selling 1966 book, Light on Yoga brought Iyengar's unique style to prominence all over the world. Iyengar is a pioneer in the evolution of modern yoga. The teaching and philosophy of Iyengar yoga is based on Patanjali's traditional eight limbs

||This sequence will include stretches and gentle spinal traction techniques, and will feel great for a lot of different bodies.
|Introducing Standing Balancing Poses
||Learn to feel as firm when you are balancing on one leg as you are when both feet are firmly planted on the ground in this class!
|Deep Release for the Neck & Shoulders
||The sequence of this class will twist, open and align your body with stretches for the neck and shoulders, as well as techniques to balance the head in between the neck and shoulders.
|Core Strength the Iyengar Way
||This strength-building class will teach you how to stabilize with your core while working your limbs in poses like Locust Pose, 4-Limbed Staff Pose, and Side Plank (Vasistha’s) Pose.
|Standing Tall: Improve Your Posture with Iyengar
||Proper posture requires you to have firmly planted feet, firm and straight legs, a strong core, a lifted spine, and open chest and shoulders - this class will guide you through all of these points.
