Introducing Standing Balancing Poses

Iyengar Yoga teaches us how to identify and work from the foundation of a yoga posture. In a standing balancing pose class, we focus on foundational standing poses and link them to related but more advanced poses. In this class, we use Triangle Pose, Warrior 2, and Side Angle Pose (covered with in depth instruction in Introduction to Iyengar Yoga) in order to approach the standing balancing poses Vrksasana (Tree Pose) and Ardha Chandrasana (Half Moon Pose). Learn to feel as firm when you are balancing on one leg as you are when both feet are firmly planted on the ground in this class!
