2-Week Yoga Challenge: Find Your Flow

DAY 4: 2-Week Yoga Challenge: Find Your Flow

DAY 4: 2-Week Yoga Challenge: Find Your Flow

Welcome to Day 4 of the 2-Week Yoga Challenge: Find Your Flow

Thursday, April 15th.

How are you feeling today? Way to show up for another practice! Today you've got three distinct choices: if you want something simple and short, Robert's 20-minute class should do the trick. If you need something gentle, or to support your neck, Elise's class is relaxing and effective. Or if you want some fire and flow, Mark's class will have you moving, and may even attract more luck into your life ;)

Don't be afraid to challenge yourself from time to time, but also listen to your body and be gentle when you need to. If you always choose the hardest class, maybe your challenge is to pick a gentler one. If you always choose the shortest and easiest class, step outside of your comfort zone and see how you do in a longer or more advanced practice.

Here are today's class choices:

Heal:

Gentle Yin for Your Neck with Elise Fabricant

40 min class | Level: All Levels | Intensity: Ahhhhhh

Your neck does so much for you every day, so give back to it with this relaxing and therapeutic class for all levels. We start this class with gentle neck and shoulder stretches, and them move into longer yin-like holds to release the last bits of tension from these important body areas. By the end of class, you'll feel so much more ease and release in the neck, as well as a good stretch of the wrists, shoulders and hips, too.

Because the neck is energetically the place of expression and honesty, you'll also be invited to take action to speak your truth as you move forward into your day.

Open:

5 Poses for Flexibility with Robert Sidoti

20 min class | Level: Adv. Beginner & Up | Intensity: Ahhhhhh

These 5 poses are very accessible, straightforward forward and very useful for keeping your mobility, range of motion and flexibility in your back, hips, shoulders and hamstrings. It's a reminder that you don't have to do a lot all of the time and that a short sequence of postures can be very beneficial! You will learn and practice them individually as well as learn to put them together for a morning flow to get your day started right! These postures can help relieve back pain/discomfort, stretch out your calves and hamstrings and open hips and shoulders. Do everyday and notice how you feel!

How to Get Lucky II: Get Luckier with Mark Morford

50 min class | Level: Intermediate | Intensity: You'll Feel It

It’s a simple teaching, really: The only way true abundance will swarm your bones, the only way bounty will flood your blood, the only way luck will be able to “find” you is if you’re not busy looking for it somewhere else, demanding the world obey some other, narrow set of expectations. Mark's How to Get Lucky series is all about messing with your set behaviors and ingrained patterns – physical, mental and energetic – so you can be more attuned to luck’s subtle beckonings.

That means vigorous, looping movements, spiraling warriors, low-down hip swings, full-body mandalas to make everything less linear and uptight, retraining you to drop your expectations and allow the moment to reveal itself. It’s just the way luck would have it.
