Think of this class as the antidote to working on a computer, texting, driving and caring for small children! All of these activities promote rigidity through the middle and upper back while putting too much pressure on the lower back. When we mobilize the middle and upper back, the low back has the chance to stabilize and the whole spine can work together. This class is a nice mix of seated, standing and balancing poses.

I just "found" Ellen today. I had a little extra time so I paired this with her Hips n Hamstrings class so now I m stretched head to toe. I achieved the best Crow pose of my life today. I love Ellen s style. I ll be visiting all her other classes.

I have scoliosis in my middle upper back and fibromyalgia with muscle knots in my upper back. This class definitely helps to reduce the pain.
I love all of Ellen s classes and am so excited to have this new one. As others have noted here and elsewhere, she offers calm guidance, clear cueing, and encouraging comments, and I always learn something new. After a very intense week I had developed a nagging pinch in my left shoulder blade that is gone after this class! I will return often to counteract work stress and the physical stress of sitting for much of the day. Thank you, Ellen!!
Perfect class after a long day of commuting and sitting at a desk. I think this is my first time practicing with Ellen and I loved how direct and encouraging her cues are. I feel much more open in my thoracic spine and lighter in spirit. Thanks Ellen!
