Really enjoyed this class. It works gently and repetitively to open the hips and build strength, moving to full lotus pose. It s not a strength building class that makes you sweat, but it s one that will be felt in the pelvic girdle the next day.
My back and hips feel great
The entire class has the intensity of a gentle warm up. IMHO it should be labeled as intensity level 1.

This class wasnt my cup of tea... It s not really focused on traditional yoga poses but the cueing isn t clear so I had to keep looking at the screen. The mechanics of the peak pose aren t explained; my ankles are what is keeping me from getting into Lotus and that s not even adressed as a possibility..
Wish I had realized the entire class was on the floor, mostly on your back. She does help you get into a seated half lotus with a ton of prep. The full lotus is attempted on your back.

Another great Iyengar class from Dana! Her cues are wonderful and clear, and the class progression is slow and methodical. Don t let the mention of Full Lotus scare you; the class is a great hip opener without straining your knees.
