This was truly what I needed today. I have been out of yoga for over a year. This was gentle enough to start again but I can feel the stretch and warmth through my legs and back. Your voice is so patient and caring as we travel to each position. Thank you!

I m a yoga instructor who has been away from yoga for too many months because of an illness. I needed to return with a careful, mindful, healing and easy reentry and it was perfect. Thank you so much for this opportunity to rebegin in a way that I was confident would motivate me to continue. It met my objectives and I am grateful.

I decided to complete this class Monday as a part of the New Year s challenge. I am not a beginner (adv. beginner-intermediate), but decided on this beginner foundation class because I haven t been on my mat for several months. While it wasn t challenging for me, it felt good to return to the basics. I think this is a foundational class all beginners can benefit from. Dana does a great job explaining the poses, how to access them, and what is important to keep your body safe.

Great class for beginners, or those who need reminders now and then of how to really do foundational poses correctly. The slow pace makes it easy to focus on getting the right placement and alignment.

Very good basic for beginner once again. I did yoga years ago but needed to basically start over in my learning. I found it a great foundation. Loved the slow and methodical progression. Thank you.

I understand it s a technical class, but I did not like the instructor. I touch she was bossy and very matter of fact. There are hundreds of classes on here that are better to get you in the zen mood, with teachers with tranquil voices even in technical classes. Not loving day 2 of this challenge!

Really good foundation information, especially about the four corners of the feet. It helps with understanding how to hold the pose without feeling so wobbly. Could use a few more cues about breathing in the beginning part of the course. It got better at the end.

I found the presentation by Dana of the Introduction to Lyengar Yoga to be excellent, although I found it to be quite difficult. I believe it is what I need and I look forward to exploring this style some more.
I did find the last 3 minutes to be the most relaxing of my mind and body in a long time. Perhaps the difficulty I found in trying to do the class helped in this relaxation.

I enjoyed this introduction to Iyengar Yoga even though I have been practising all kinds of yoga for many years. It was a little slow and basic for my liking but it was a good reminder of how to set up and create the triangle and extended side angle poses. Something to keep in mind when I am doing more dynamic yoga.

This is great introduction to Iyengar Yoga. I m sitting up straighter just writing this review! Dana provides the clearest, most precise cues I ve ever experienced, and you don t feel rushed which really helps to relax in the class.

Nice way to start the 2 week yoga challenge as the instructor focused completely on alignment, which sometimes falls to the wayside in a regular yoga practice. Very good cueing.

Day 1 of Challenge. I’m not a beginner but this class allowed me to really focus on some basic poses. Felt my warrior and Triangle poses both got stronger working at a more deliberate pace.
