The Muladhara, or root chakra is about rooting deep into the Earth so each breath and each movement is an expanded version of ease and grace. Starting with a firm foundation is the key in building anything in life: relationships, learning a new skill, building a home, anything worth growing needs a firm foundation first. This is our Root Chakra. It is the foundation of the entire system and it is the ground that supports and nourishes us. The Root Chakra represents how we interface with the physical body - our home, finances, work and environment. It represents our physical identity and how we identify with our needs. Its purpose is self-preservation - making sure we survive on our journey. When our root chakra is functioning properly, we feel safe and secure. When we are out of balance, we feel fear. I appreciate the ideas behind this, but it feels rushed and forced.
It s a really nice morning class, but the instructor is moving too fast and explaining the moves very briefly which might be a bit challenging for beginners

Great morning class. A lot of classes advertised as morning flow are just way too vigorous for me that early in the day, with a stiff body. But this length and low intensity I can do. Very grounding, which I feel is perfect to get your head back from dreamworld. I will try to add this to my mornings when I can! The only reason I am giving 4.5 stars is that the slow breaths that are cued by the instructor feel a bit rushed. i ended up with 2 or 3 breaths when she promised 5 to 6 deep breaths. But perhaps I am still half asleep :)
