To my amazing and strong YogaDownload friends: Thank you your incredible support over the past several years! Please know that my classes are designed to be challenging for a reason. My hope is that every time you conquer one of my classes, you leave feeling stronger physically and mentally. I have found that intensely physical workouts are even more effective when combined with the mindfulness created through yoga. My goal is for you to be your strongest and most bad ass version of yourself every time you workout with me. I am so grateful for this community and am excited to continue our journey together!

What inspires your teaching?

The incredible humans who come take my classes inspire me. I absolutely love pushing my students to do their best and always hope they leave my class feeling better than when they came in. The joy and community that is created in a yoga class is what keeps me coming back. Teaching yoga has become an integral part of my life and that is because of you!

What are some other passions in your life,  things, activities, or practices that give you purpose and benefit your well-being?
In addition to fitness and yoga, I am passionate about education and have spent the past 10 years working in Title 1 middle schools as both a teacher and principal in Denver and New York City. This is work I am deeply committed to, however, it is also work that can be extremely challenging. I have found yoga and fitness to be the perfect outlet during stressful times at work.

What are your favorite places in the world. What do you love about them?

I am obsessed with Thailand, Argentina and South America. I took a solo trip to Thailand after my first year of teaching, and it was magical. I loved the food (I had Pad Thai for every meal and Green Curry for dessert) and the people were so wonderful. After graduate school, I lived in Argentina for a year and totally fell in love with South Africa. The people were amazing and the way of life was infinitely more mindful and present than the way I had been living. Also, let's be real - the wine is on point. I also love South Africa for the same reasons. Next on my list is Bhutan - who's with me?
