2024 Clearing and Cleansing 2-Week Spring Challenge

Day 7 - 2-Week Spring Challenge for Clearing and Cleansing

Day 7 - 2-Week Spring Challenge for Clearing and Cleansing

Welcome to Day 7 of our 2-Week Spring Challenge for Clearing and Cleansing!

Sunday, April 14th

Welcome to day seven of YogaDownload's 2-Week Yoga Challenge for Clearing and Cleansing! As we reach the halfway point of our journey, we invite you to explore the balance between strength and flexibility.

In Balancing Yin & Yang with Caitlin Rose Kenney, you'll experience a harmonious blend of yin and yang yoga, balancing the passive and active aspects of your practice. This class will help you find equilibrium in both your body and mind, leaving you feeling grounded and centered.

Alternatively, join Lila Whiting in Back Strength Flow, a dynamic practice designed to strengthen and support your back muscles. This class will help you cultivate a strong and healthy back, enhancing your overall posture and stability.

As you flow through today's practice, focus on finding balance in your movements and breath. Embrace the challenge of balancing strength and flexibility, and listen to your body's cues as you explore new sensations and movements.

Whether you choose to balance yin and yang or strengthen your back, enjoy your practice, and may you continue to shine brightly on your yoga journey!

**Remember, if you're feeling in the mood for something different you can choose any of our free classes on our site (or any other class you'd like!).

The most important thing is to show up and get on your mat!

Find Strength & Grace:

Balancing Yin & Yang with Caitlin Rose Kenney

I enjoyed the balancing yin/yang. Just enough of both. Nice way to start my day.

Caitlin's class was definitely a good balance between yin and yang

I was inspired to try Lila's class because of the king cobra photo on her profile (goal pose!) I was expecting more back flexibility poses. Instead--whew--this class was a challenge! I was wiped and wasn't able to get into my 3rd wheel. Thank you Lila, for challenging me! 💪

I haven't done any of Lila's classes so I chose the back strength flow as I like to try different instructors and classes. I didn't know what I was getting into. It was an intense workout but I got to the end and I'll be stronger for it.

Hmm, I noticed the challenge tends to offer more strenuous classes on the weekend. However, after a hike, I was rather in the mood for some relaxation with incense and a salt lamp..

I did the Balancing Yin and Yang with Caitlin Rose Kenny. It was a very nice and gentle yang practice with an enjoyable short Yin at the end. I will look for this to do it again.

Avatar  Desyree 2 weeks agoReply

I did the yin yang class since I am not a fan of yoga but want to try something that I usualyy dont do. It was good! Not too much yin but enough to make me feel uncomfortable on the poses so I can start building up my tolerance to stay still!

Another great challenge day

I loved Back Strength Flow
Lila Whiting, with the focus on drills and core. I liked doing Wheel and the hip openers. Great challenge!

Avatar  Sarah 2 weeks agoReply

I've been sick and haven't been up for joining in yet, but today I finally was and Caitlin's Yin Yang class was just right to get my body moving a bit after 2 weeks of rest. Thanks for the nudge YDL!

I decided to go with Caitlin's Balancing Yin & Yang class. I spent my evening doing yard work & this was a great wind down. I really enjoyed this class. It was the perfect evening to give this one a try. So relaxing!

Avatar  Chris 2 weeks agoReply

Lila's was a challenge for me late in the evening but I got through it.

Avatar  Lindsay 2 weeks agoReply

I chose Yin & Yang with Caitlin Rose Kenney today & it was a welcome treat! It helped calm & relax my mind & get me in a more relaxed state. Perfect to go into this next week all fresh! Namaste!

I ran out of time today, so I went back to Day 5 and did the On-The-Go Detoxifying class. It was a nice, fun, short class that made me feel like I got some movement and stretching in for the day. Namaste.

Avatar  Joinaz 2 weeks agoReply

I have had several really busy days so missed a few days. Today I did On-The-Go Detoxifying Sequence from a recent recommendation, either in the hallenge or in a YDL email. Great short class.

Great class with Caitlin today!

Avatar  Andie 2 weeks agoReply

I did Kristen’s hip opening class today that was offered yesterday. My hips feel sooo much better as they were super tight. This class has been added to my favorites! 🙏🏼

Avatar  Linda 2 weeks agoReply

I tried Lila's Back Class today and I really wasn't a fan. Many of the poses actually made my lower back hurt, I guess the class isn't designed for me. I do a lot of core exercises so I wasn't expecting to have this problem.

Avatar  Angie 2 weeks agoReply

I chose today to practice at my local yoga studio. Ahhh! I'm going to make sure to visit both of the classes from today at another time.

Avatar  pammy 2 weeks agoReply

Mid point of this challenge! The first half has been a breeze since I was on my self-designated "spring break" and easy to practice when I have more freedom and flexibility; mid-day...sure, morning...sure! evening...sure! LOL The challenge will be this 2nd week.
Between a 2 mile walk with my doggie and my afternoon, I hopped back to day 5 to Ben's Meditative Sequence. Perfect choice for the longer holds! Thanks for keeping me on my mat ; )

Did Caitlin's class after our soccer match this afternoon, and it was perfect as a cool down and relaxing stretch!

Avatar  Carrie 2 weeks agoReply

The back strength flow was the class for me today. Challenging but rewarding.

Avatar  Jennie 2 weeks agoReply

I did Balancing Yin & Yang with Caitlin. It was a great mix of flow, strength and yin and perfect for the evening when I have less energy.

Avatar  Sunshine 2 weeks agoReply

I really struggled with Lila's class today. Too much pressure on my shoulder. I haven't had that problem with other classes that I have taken from her.

Avatar  Skaita Yogi 2 weeks agoReply

I never tried Caitlin Rose’s classes before, and I’m sorry i didn’t! The pace was perfect. Will come back for more!

Avatar  Andrea 2 weeks agoReply

I did Caitlin’s class today. I love to. Class but always find them harder when there is a yang component included in the class. It makes it a good challenge for me.

Avatar  Pat 2 weeks agoReply

I chose Caitlin's class today. Some of the yin classes are rather slow for me but I enjoyed this one.

Avatar  Niki 2 weeks agoReply

I chose Caitlin's yin yang class today and really enjoyed it. Gentle and grounding with well chosen poses.

Avatar  Mimi 2 weeks agoReply

Whoa! Lila's class! Had to modify, well, almost everything but that's what these challenges are for... to try new practices and stretch our bodies and minds. Om shanti.

Avatar  Robin 2 weeks agoReply

I chose Caitlin’s class today. I loved it!
I needed the yin portion for sure!

Avatar  Heather 2 weeks agoReply

In spite of yesterday's hip helping class, I was still very tight this morning. So I listened to my body and chose an old favorite from Kylie Larsen (Post Workout Yoga: Legs and Hips). That hit the spot.

Avatar  MPYoga 2 weeks agoReply

Today, I did Caitlin's class. Yin is always challenging for me, but I enjoyed it.

Avatar  Trice 2 weeks agoReply

Wow Caitlin’s class felt amazing. Loved staying in some nice stretch poses for a while. Great way to start a relaxing Sunday.

Avatar  Terry 2 weeks agoReply

Loved Lila’s back flow class! Great strength builder for shoulders and core! First time in full wheel for a few years…. Felt strong and powered up with the preparation at the beginning of class. Thank you🙏🏻💚

I went with Back Strength Flow with Lila as my choice this Sunday morning. Wow it was an intense and challenging class! I had to pause the video a couple of times for a breather, but I made it through! I'm sure I will be feeling it tomorrow. Great workout. Thanks!

Avatar  Susan 2 weeks agoReply

Caitlin’s Yin/Yang was relaxing and invigorating at the same time. I’m not a big fan of Yin yoga but my body liked it!

Avatar  Jennifer 2 weeks agoReply

Balancing Yin and Yan with Caitlin was another good class. The jiva squat to cross legged forward fold with walking hands over to the side was super good feeling along my sides - keeping that one for future reference!
