2024 Clearing and Cleansing 2-Week Spring Challenge

Day 6 - 2-Week Spring Challenge for Clearing and Cleansing

Day 6 - 2-Week Spring Challenge for Clearing and Cleansing

Welcome to Day 6 of our 2-Week Spring Challenge for Clearing and Cleansing!

Saturday, April 13th

Welcome to day six of YogaDownload's 2-Week Yoga Challenge for Clearing and Cleansing! Today, we invite you to explore the transformative power of hip mobility and deep, mindful movement.

In the Hip Mobility Flow with Kristin Gibowicz, you'll embark on a journey to unlock tightness and tension in your hips, allowing for greater freedom of movement and a sense of lightness. This practice is perfect for anyone looking to improve flexibility and find greater ease in their yoga practice.

Alternatively, dive into the Deep 30 Vol. I flow with Mark Morford, a practice designed to take you on a deep journey within. This session will challenge you to move with intention and presence, inviting you to explore the depths of your practice and connect with your inner self.

As you flow through today's practice, embrace the opportunity to explore new movements and sensations, and honor your body's unique needs.

Whether you choose to flow with hip mobility or deep, mindful movement, know that you're taking a positive step toward greater clarity and renewal. Enjoy your practice!

**Remember, if you're feeling in the mood for something different you can choose any of our free classes on our site (or any other class you'd like!).

The most important thing is to show up and get on your mat!

A Slow Flow:

Hip Mobility Flow with Kristin Gibowicz

35 min class

Level: Adv. Beginner & Up | Intensity: Everyday Namaste

If you don't use them, you lose them. Many cultures who sit in a simple seat or squat to use the bathroom, utilize hip mobility throughout their days. However, for the rest of us, we need to move this amazing ball-and-socket joint in all ways to increase balance, add strength, and preserve mobility as we age. Join Kristin as she weaves hip mobility & flexibility through a 30-minute slow flow.

Go Deep:

Deep 30 Vol. I with Mark Morford

30 min class

Level: Intermediate | Intensity: You'll Feel It

This is a vigorous, deeply felt 30-minute full-body swirl to bring you NOT into a state of more agitation and let's-attack-the-day, but rather a potent form of... stillness. What? You read that right. Look, you can't go "deep" through mere force and push and hurry up already. That's just exhausting. You go deep through intention, watching your breath, and practicing keeping your attention from scattering about like a manic chihuahua, especially when things get challenging. It's the only way.

**you only need to choose one class**

I did the hip opener and I enjoyed it, but I wasn't flexible enough to do all the poses. Some demonstration of modifications would have been appreciated but overall good class.

I did hip mobility flow and feel stronger and looser in my hips!

Absolutely loved the hip opening class with Kristen. It did the trick.

I went back to day 5 and did Keith’s class. So glad I did wonderful stretches. Thanks.

I did the Hip Mobility Flow recently so I did Mark's class. He's not my favorite instructor because I find his cues too frantic, but the flow was ok. I probably could have used more of a warm-up, but it did increase my energy.

I did Kristen’s hip opening class today that was offered yesterday. My hips feel sooo much better as they were super tight. This class has been added to my favorites! 🙏🏼

Mark's class was challenging but good. Definitely got my heart rate up a bit.

I chose the hip mobility class and with some modifications, I got through it!

Had a really long day, but got my daily yoga in before midnight! Opted to wind down with Erin Wimert's Nature Nidra class. I'll probably come back eventually to do Mark's Deep 30 class. It sounds quite intriguing. Goodbye for now. 💗

I really enjoyed Kristen's hip opening class today. I appreciated that it included strengthening as well as stretching. My hips will be feeling it tomorrow.

Having done Mark’s class before, I went for the hips mobility.

I loved Hip Mobility Flow with Kristin Gibowicz. I appreciate the focus on hip-openers. I especially loved the hip circles and stretches to the sides on different poses. I am grateful for the challenge!

A new yoga studio in my city had their grand opening today. I did me yoga there, a beautiful heart opening class that built some heat then ended with a beautiful sound bath and a relaxing slow flow class to continue the calm relaxing feeling.

Avatar  Linda 2 weeks agoReply

Any time there is a hip opening class I always take it because I am very tight there. Kristen's class didn't disappoint, I really enjoyed it!

Perfect workout & meditation mix! I just realized that the last three days, during this challenge, I have tried three different flows that I have avoided practices for one reason or another. Either they were to long, not long enough, or I'm not at intermediate, no matter the reason, I always come up with some excuse to not even try. I did try the last three days, and absolutely loved every one of them! Thank you, Yoga Download !

After driving around for Lyft today for about 6 hours, Kristin's class was just what I needed.

I really loved the hip mobility flow with Kristin today! It was just what my body needed to wring out all the energy stuck in my hips. It was wonderful! Namaste!

Today, I did Kristin's class. It was a great class, I will come back to this one.

I did Kristen's Hip Mobility class tonight and found it to be very challenging at times, but also much needed as my hips are generally tight. I always enjoy her classes and this is one I haven't done before, but will be coming back to it to work on opening those hips! Namaste.

Hip mobility flow was amazing! Super fun. And I always love hip openers!

Avatar  Jennifer 2 weeks agoReply

I took Kristin's class this evening. It felt great to stretch - my hips are always tight, and they did feel looser afterward.

Avatar  pammy 2 weeks agoReply

I went with Kristin's class today; I always enjoy her classes and found it to have a nice challenge. Those "curtsy twists"!
Felt really great even with my nemesis pose Gomukhasana LOL Thanks!

Avatar  Niki 2 weeks agoReply

Both classes today! Grateful for the active options, and I really enjoyed the creative flows. Mark's mandala flow was fun and meditative, and I loved the playlist. Kristen's class was really effective in targeting the hips. Feeling great after th classes 😌

Avatar  Trice 2 weeks agoReply

Just got done with Kristin’s class and really enjoyed all the hip opening moves. My hips get so tight and I knew as soon as I saw that one today I was doing it. Grateful for it and this challenge.

I tried Kristin's Hip Mobility Flow class today. My balance was pretty terrible but had to it shake off and enjoyed the nice focus on the hips (and hamstrings). Feeling pretty good now. Class went by fast!

I chose Kristin's class for some great hip work. Loved. it.

Avatar  Andrea 2 weeks agoReply

Did Kristin’s class today. Hated it and loved it all at the same time! 😂 it was a challenging class for me which meant I was exactly where I needed to be. This will definitely make it into my rotation. I felt great and ready for my day at the end. Namaste.

Hips are TIGHT. Kristin’s hip mobility flow was great today!

Avatar  Heather 2 weeks agoReply

I did the Hip Mobility Flow cuz I’ve got all kinds of soap opera drama in my poor hips. Glad to release some of the “junk drawer” storage.

Avatar  Robin 2 weeks agoReply

I took Kristin’s class this morning. I very much enjoyed it.
Thank you! 😊

Avatar  Sunshine 2 weeks agoReply

I did Kristin's class today and I really enjoyed it! Helped a lot with opening my hips which was desperately needed. I haven't taken many of her classes, but I will definitely be checking out more of what she has to offer. Mark is one of my favorite instructors so I will be completing his class during a future session.

Great hip opener with Kristen! Om shanti.

Avatar  Ashley 2 weeks agoReply

Did the hip mobility class. I found it very challenging but very good

Avatar  Sarah 2 weeks agoReply

I did Mark's class today as I wanted something a little faster paced. I would love to see this as a 45 minute class with a longer warm-up and cool-down/savasana. Overall, liked the unique flow!

Avatar  josie 2 weeks agoReply

Chose th slow flow today because I'm still feeling all th places. And the hips are always a place for me to explore and deepen. Awesome start to the morning, and weekend. Opening up is great.

Avatar  Oralee 2 weeks agoReply

Hip Mobility Flow with Kristin was some definite hip work. It feels like I just finished wringing them out like a wash cloth. Hurts so good?!?

Avatar  Sheila M Durante 2 weeks agoReply

Did Kristin’s class It was challenging both in the poses and in balancing whist transitioning in the pose. With knee implants and a hip replacement, some were out of my reach but most - with adaption if necessary- worked fine. Def 3 sweat nor 2 for me
