2024 Clearing and Cleansing 2-Week Spring Challenge

Day 3 - 2-Week Spring Challenge for Clearing and Cleansing

Day 3 - 2-Week Spring Challenge for Clearing and Cleansing

Welcome to Day 3 of our 2-Week Spring Challenge for Clearing and Cleansing!

Wednesday, April 10th

Welcome to day three of YogaDownload's 2-Week Yoga Challenge for Clearing and Cleansing! We're excited to continue this journey of transformation with you.

Today, you have two inspiring class options to choose from. You can join Annie Coyle for The Yogic Way: Peace Within and Without, a practice that will guide you towards inner peace and harmony. Alternatively, you can flow with Christen Bakken in Move Your Issues Through Your Tissues, a class designed to help you release emotional and physical tension stored in your body.

As you step onto your mat today, take a moment to connect with your breath and set an intention for your practice. Allow yourself to fully immerse in the present moment, letting go of any expectations or judgments. Remember, yoga is not just about the poses—it's about the journey of self-discovery and growth.

Whether you choose to find peace within and without or move through your tissues, know that you're taking a positive step towards greater clarity and cleansing in body, mind, and spirit.

Enjoy your practice, and may you continue to shine brightly on this transformative journey!

**Remember, if you're feeling in the mood for something different you can choose any of our free classes on our site (or any other class you'd like!).

The most important thing is to show up and get on your mat!

**IMPORTANT** - remember, you will need a free account on YogaDownload to access the free challenge classes. The free account doesn't commit you to any future obligation whatsoever. Please be sure to quickly create one now if you don't have one already.

Revitalize and Restore:

The Yogic Way: Peace Within and Without with Annie Coyle

40 min class

Level:  Adv. Beginner & Up | Intensity: Everyday Namaste

This class adds to the Yogic Way repertoire series, in which honoring of the sacred roots of yoga is at the heart. In this class, you can expect to drop into and cultivate your own essential peaceful nature, whilst radiating peace outward as a moving prayer for all of humanity. Through this creative flow paired with breath, as well as an added element of working with sound (mantra) you will feel refreshed, revitalized, and restored. This class is perfect for morning, evening, or as a midday reset. You will surely feel tuned into your center, as you will work to cultivate your own inner calm and peaceful quietude through your practice. See you on your mat!

A Fun and Sweaty Flow:

Move Your Issues Through Your Tissues with Christen Bakken

30 min class

Level: All Levels | Intensity: Bring a Towel

The stress of life can accumulate within our body and just like dust accumulates in a blanket, sometimes all your really need is a good shake. In this vigorous, yet still all levels class, be prepared to squat and lunge and jump and shake your issues through your tissues. You will sweat and laugh and feel and breathe and hopefully, by the end, clear your heart and prepare yourself for whatever comes next.

**you only need to choose one class**

I did the first class with Annie. I really liked it especially the music and chanting. I did the class at the end of the day, so it was really a nice way to relax

Avatar  jeri lampert 2 weeks agoReply

I did the move through your issues class, it was nice but it didn't make me sweat! I thought it was pretty easy.

Avatar  josie 2 weeks agoReply

Kristen's flows are always spot on. Definitely got into all the issues to work through.

Avatar  Melissa 2 weeks agoReply

I did Christen's class today which definitely got my heart rate going.

Avatar  Andrea 2 weeks agoReply

I chose Annie’s class today. Not my usual pick but I really enjoyed it. She has a very nice style and beautiful voice.

Avatar  Pat 2 weeks agoReply

I chose Annie's class which was different for me, and my first with her as a teacher. I enjoyed the class.

Avatar  Kaye 2 weeks agoReply

I chose Christen's class today. It was a hard but enjoyable class. Certainly got my heart rate up.

Avatar  Trice 2 weeks agoReply

I did the Yogic way and it was very different for me. I had a hard time settling into it for the amount of time for the chants. Now that I know what to expect next time I try it may be easier for me to get into.

Avatar  Enlightened Muffin 2 weeks agoReply

Turns out I had already done “move your issues” before so since I do these challenges to try new stuff, I went with “the yogic way”. I like how chanting resonates within my body, more workouts should incorporate it🫶

Avatar  Leizel 2 weeks agoReply

The Yogic Way: Peace Within and Without with Annie was wonderful. The music was unexpected great addition.

Avatar  Susan 2 weeks agoReply

Did Move your Issues with Christen. A little late in the evening but I do believe I’ll sleep well this night!

Avatar  Desyree 2 weeks agoReply

Decided to do Christen's class today even though I thought I would not like it. But since this is a challenge, I thought I should do something different from what I usually gravitate towards. I was very surprised by how much I like that class and it is not on my favorites for when I want some cardio. It is not a traditional yoga class, but it has the main yoga elements that I like AND I was able to get my heart pumping a little without feeling that it was too much. I will definitely come back to this class.

Avatar  Jennifer A. 2 weeks agoReply

I tried the yogic way class as I had done the other one before. Not what I was expecting, but good stretches at the end of the day.

Avatar  Lauren 2 weeks agoReply

Definitely moved my tissues! Nice way to end my day

Avatar  Carrie 2 weeks agoReply

I did the Move your Issues…class and loved it! Easy poses, but got my heart rate up and some sweat going!

Avatar  Julia May Wong 2 weeks agoReply

Christen's class was fun! Found myself smiling a lot. :) Really appreciated the cardio--much needed! 💗

Avatar  Jemma 2 weeks agoReply

Good evening all, I chose to do a different class. Wound up doing Kylie Larson’s yin head & heart class. Feeling open, with calm grounded energy. Looking forward to tomorrow!

Avatar  Carolyn 2 weeks agoReply

I really liked Move Your Issues Through Your Tissues with Christen Bakken. I loved the Star to Lunge moves. I appreciate the affirmations and all of the verbal guidance. Very grateful!

Avatar  Amy 2 weeks agoReply

I think the Move Your Issues Through Your Tissues was an exceptionally apt name. There was bursts of heat and movement but also stillness and reflection, and I felt more open and free after. Thank you so much.

Avatar  karen donaldson 2 weeks agoReply

I’m really not into the mantra part of yoga, so modify whenever that crops up in a practice. Otherwise, I love Annie’s classes. The best cues getting in, out and holding postures.

Avatar  Bek S 2 weeks agoReply

Was looking to get a little sweaty today so I went with Christen's class. It's a very different class from what I'm used to but it does get the heart rate up a little & it felt to good to move a lot after sitting all day at work. Thanks for the quick cardio!

Avatar  pammy 2 weeks agoReply

Day 3! After a lovely day of hiking and hot springs, my body yearned for a nice, chill practice this evening. I thought I'd try a new (to me) teacher and chose Annie's class; ten minutes in and it was just too much talking for my vibe. Hopped back to Kylie's yin practice from day one and ahhhhh....bliss.
Loved her message about considering to what external forces are we giving our "power".

Avatar  Chris 2 weeks agoReply

Christen's class was different than what I usually choose but I liked the cardio aspect of it and feel much better.

Avatar  Jennifer 2 weeks agoReply

Christen's class was different than the usual ones I have taken from her! It was a challenge because of that! Kept me moving!

Avatar  Jennie 2 weeks agoReply

I did Elise's Reset Refuge from yesterday. It was a great way relax after work. I liked how it ended with breathwork.

Avatar  Sunshine 2 weeks agoReply

I did Annie's class today. I really enjoyed the movements in the class, but the harmonium is not my favorite. Somehow, it distracts me. The earlier chants in the practice were enjoyable for me.

Avatar  Skaita Yogi 2 weeks agoReply

Cute harmonium sequence! Never tried Annie Coyle before. Christen is an all time fave, so I shook it up and went for Annie. A bit too wrist heavy for me today, but I'm tender and ready for bed now, so that's a good outcome!

Avatar  Lindsay 2 weeks agoReply

For day 3 I chose Christen's Move your Issues through your Tissues and it was perfect for me! I loved all the movement and so did my body. The end had me so overflowing with emotions I couldn't even believe I had all that stored within. Will definitely be doing more of this type of practice! Namaste!

Avatar  Summer 2 weeks agoReply

I did the "move your issues through your tissues" flow with Kristin, her inspirational messages are always aligned perfectly with what I need to hear and learn. Thanks Kristin!

Avatar  Niki 2 weeks agoReply

Both classes today :D Both were somewhat unusual. I really enjoyed Annie's. Christen's was a little odd with slo-mo jumping jacks and burpees but kind of fun. Christen's was much less intense than I was expecting based on the effort rating.

Avatar  Andie 2 weeks agoReply

Love these challenges as it introduces me to other YDL instructors. I chose Christen’s class today .. movement was welcome since I missed yesterday after sitting on plane for 5+ hours.
See you tomorrow 🙏🏼

I've never taken an Annie Coyle class...enjoyed it very much and is now added to my favorites. I'm a sucker for the harmonium.. :)

Avatar  Heather 2 weeks agoReply

I did the Peace Within and Without class today. I noticed last weekend when I did a yoga class that featured some meditation and music that I was physically and emotionally uncomfortable with sitting and completing that portion of the practice. I just stopped the video, stretched out a little and went on with my day. So today I chose to stick with it, even if there were time constraints, stuff to do, etc. I participated in the chants for peace and sang along. I was present.
I need to make space for peace and choose peace. That's not always easy for me to do, but it's very necessary.

Avatar  Joinaz 2 weeks agoReply

Hard to choose today since want to try both. Ended up going w Christen's class. Excellent fun class, got my heart rate up.

Avatar  Mimi 2 weeks agoReply

Nice class with Annie. Nice flowing moves. Om shanti.

Avatar  Linda 2 weeks agoReply

Tried Christen's class and I really enjoyed it. It's very different and not very "yoga-y" but it was a lot of fun and a great way to start the day.

Avatar  Terry 2 weeks agoReply

Third class for the day…..Moving Issues Through your tissues. Somewhat challenging as I have a knee injury. I was able to adjust with cues provided by Christen. That’s class work, my body better and more relaxed. Love the self care cues at the end with the meditation. A class I’ll come back to! Thank you!🙏🏻

This morning I did Christen's class. This was a really fun and unique class. I enjoyed this one!

Avatar  Molly 2 weeks agoReply

I'm excited to try Annie Coyle's class as an evening reset as I have done Christen's class which is also great.

Avatar  Ashley 2 weeks agoReply

Did move your issues through your tissues. It felt like a workout class instead of yoga

Avatar  Debbie 2 weeks agoReply

Fun class Christen. I love the arm work. I need to do that often

Avatar  Robin 2 weeks agoReply

I chose Christen’s class today, another one if my favorites!
I love the arm work in this class, really gets your heart going.
Thanks Christen!

Avatar  Sarah 2 weeks agoReply

I typically like Christen's classes, but wasn't sure if I was up for it this morning based on the comments that it is more cardio focused. I did the Yogic Way which is a class I have done before and really enjoyed. It was a nice calming start to my day.

Avatar  MEAP 2 weeks agoReply

Christen’s class really helped me get realigned this morning!

Avatar  Baynicole 2 weeks agoReply

I did Christen’s class this morning! It felt more like a workout class than a yoga class. However, it was still enjoyed and a great way to wake up! As usual, she leaves with an excellent message. Thank you!

Avatar  Andrea 2 weeks agoReply

I completed Christen’s class today. It was one I had done awhile ago and I enjoyed revisiting it. The class presented so. Good challenges but also gave time to catch your breath. It’s a great class and a great way to start my day!

Avatar  Kathy 2 weeks agoReply

I chose Christen's class this morning and WOW! What an energizing and fun class! Ready for the day!

Avatar  Oralee 2 weeks agoReply

The Yogic Way with Annie Coyle was my choice today. The sequence was nice and I liked the hand clasps throughout, but I need more quiet time while holding poses. Annie was constantly saying something and I try hard to hear everything spoken, so my parasympathetic nervous system never had a chance to engage and slow things down within. Thats how I practice, others may feel differently. The harmonium instrument was cool, I'm glad its still being played in 2024.
