10 Great Intentions for Life
On August 5, 2012 in
What I didn’t realize initially was how challenging creating your intention statement can be. We spend so much time focused on what we don’t have, didn’t get, and don’t want, we sometimes forget what we really do want!
Creating your intention statement requires some thought. Where I your life do you want to shift, change, or give more focus to?
• Always state your intention in the affirmative, as if it is already happening.
• Keep your statement quite broad, to not limit yourself, but the area in your life specific, to keep you focused.
• Start with I and then an active verb, such as I enjoy, I am, I love, I experience, I attract.
Here is a top 10 list of the most popular intentions from my clients:
• I am healthy.
• I attract the perfect partner.
• I take great care of myself.
• I enjoy exotic travel.
• I love my job.
• I connect with my spouse on a deeper level.
• I manage my finances with ease and grace.
• I exceed my quarterly goals.
• I surround myself with beauty.
• I attract money easily and effortlessly in my life.
When you create a statement that reflects your deepest intention and focus on it every day, you start to live with your intention. Living with intention means living on purpose—living consciously, living awake instead of asleep, living with the big picture in mind, with meaningful activity and consciously choosing your direction, personally and professionally.

Life is here to be celebrated. It’s full of both small and big joyful moments, which should be appreciated and acknowledged. Celebrating life, in however small a way, can help us have a more positive outlook, feel happier and feel healthier. It’s really important to take time each day to celebrate life in all its intricacies, especially when life is busy with work and responsibilities. Here’s 20 little ways to celebrate life every day. 1. Start the day by giving thanks When you wake up each morning, try to take a couple of minutes to celebrate your life. Ways Yoga Can Improve Your Work-Life Balance
Those who practice yoga often know the importance of balance on the mat, be it balance in the body, balance in tree pose, or balance between the breath and the movements. But not many of us transfer this balance into our day to day lives, especially our work-life balance. Yoga can help us practice so much more than the physical movements and poses. It helps us practice things like our breath, calming our minds, pushes us outside our comfort zone and allows us to grow and self reflect. This self-reflection will ultimately help in maintaining a strong work-life balance, as understanding patterns, strengths and weaknesses are essential in setting the boundaries we need to balance our lives. In layman's terms, a work-life balance is how you maintain the time you dedicate to working vs having fun and living your life. Finding a balance that works for you requires work and self-reflection. There are many ways yoga can help you improve your work-life balance.
5 Simple Tips for a Healthy & Happy Life
Some people feel as if there is nothing that can be done when faced with certain difficulties. However, there are those of us that only search for solutions when the going gets tough, and, eventually emerge as winners to whatever obstacles life puts on their path. Modern life pushes us to fulfill different challenges. Things like creating a successful career, having a happy marriage, maintaining solid friendships, good health, and a positive outlook are things most of us would like to achieve and experience. Oftentimes however, we give priority to certain parts of life at the expense of others. The goal then, is finding balance and live in an energy of joy, regardless of the circumstances. The ones who are brave and persistent enough, can cope with the sometimes rapid rhythm of life, and compose a happy melody through which they dance throughout their lives.
Are You Living Your Life in Alignment?
What does it mean to live your life in alignment with your own truth, your soul’s purpose, and the world around you? When you’re truly living in a state of alignment, it means you’ve taken the time to slow down and pay attention to how you are experiencing life. Really pay attention. If you’ve examined how you are feeling in all aspects of your life, you’ll know if you are living a life disconnected from the real you. Living in alignment with your authentic self means you feel comfortable in your skin. It means you feel energized and excited about the work you’ve chosen to do, about the people you’ve populated your life with, and about the way you inhabit the world. Close your eyes and tune into how you’re feeling right now. Well, close your eyes after you’ve read this paragraph, that is. Ask yourself: are you surrounded with people who inspire you or people who drag you down? Are you in a career that lights you up and fulfills you or do you dread going to work? What about your personal relationships with others and yourself? Signs like anxiety, boredom, lethargy, and even anger point to living your life for reasons other than your fulfilling your desires. If you can’t honestly say you’re living your best life today, take a moment to explore how you can achieve it.
Aging with the Seasons of Life
About a year ago I shared an article about the Ayurvedic perspective on circadian rhythm. In it, I shared how different times in the day have different qualities associated with them, thus making certain times more appropriate for specific activities.
