Xen Strength® Yoga Core Balance Challenge



First segment - 30 mins
This segment opens you up with a longer warm up, including sun salutations with a twist. The creative standing poses test your balance, and the upper body work adds an extra challenge by forcing you to engage your core while balancing. Finish with a quick cardio shot before melting into pigeon.

Second segment - 20 mins
This segment starts off with a quick hip opening warmup before moving into a standing balancing pose sequence that require you to engage your core for a full X minutes while strengthening your upper body. After more hip opening poses raise your heart rate with a unique transition from malasana to downdog and back.

Third segment - 25 mins
This segment requires extra engagement of the obliques as you balance while stretching the side body. Incorporate your upper body into the balancing act, plus a cardio burst that gives you a good kick in the butt. End on the floor with a longer cool down including one eagle variation on a sit-up, and savasana with pranayama.

Full Class - 1 hour, 10 mins
This class focuses on building core strength while challenging your balance with a creative combination of standing poses; incorporating extra hip opening. Add upper body strength moves to sculpt your arms, plus cardio bursts to raise your heart rate- and you’ll create core strength and balance like never before! Relax with a long cool down, savasana and pranayama.
