Forrest Yoga is all about healing. The four pillars of this system of yoga are breath, integrity, strength, and spirit. This ceremonial and core-focused style of yoga treats each practice as an act of ritual. Expect longer holds in postures, a greater emphasis on the core, and a focus on the breath. You'll learn how to heal your own body in these four rigorous and unapologetic Forrest Yoga workshops.
Forrest Yoga was created to fill what Ana Forrest perceived as a void in the traditional forms of yoga. In her own words, “traditional forms of yoga did not address most of my deeper injuries; my lost soul, the addictions—the helplessness around the addictions—and the ongoing suffering." Because of this, she created this unique blend of ceremony, specific yoga poses, breath, and the infusion of some Native American traditions, to help others heal and connect to their sense of spirit.
This immersion is unique, as all four parts are in-person workshops. This live class setting is different than other videos on YogaDownload, so don't worry if there's more students and the format is a little different than you're used to in our online classes, as you'll still receive all of the information you need to enjoy and benefit from these practices. You'll also get a more personal experience with the teacher. You can practice this yoga at anytime, at a rate that feels best for you and we recommend practicing two per week and completing the entire program in one to two weeks.
