This practice is equally challenging and accessible. I feel amazingly strong and centered after this class!
This a a challenging standing series. You get down on the mat at the end, but mostly you are standing, holding, balancing and working hard. It s not a flow class, but I find the long holds are challenging. By the time I got to the 1 minute plank I was spent - in a very good way. Previous posts about not having music in background are correct, but I started some before the class and that worked well.
I m so glad I played this class--the perfect way to start the day. Not only was it an all around grounding and complete physical practice...I also loved the message of "practice makes practice"--inspiring! Thank you Patrick.
I enjoyed Patrick s clear and concise instruction. The class description seems appropriate. I might question where some of these poses, hold length and transitions were adv beginner but he gives the students options. Unlike most classes, Patrick wasn t present in the video but if you understand the poses and can listen you will not be distracted. I personally also appreciate the longer class, balance transitions and hold times. One thing missing is a peak pose for me. This class will be one for my library.
This practice is greatly improved with music, so start some before you start. The cueing was a little awkward and the models sometimes didn t seem to know what to do. Poses weren t always explained well, which could be frustrating for a new yogi. However, I did enjoy the practice and liked the range of poses that were presented.
I am a newly qualified teacher and I just love this class. Am I alone in thinking that it s not everyday namaste??? Either way, it s a great class for centering and grounding yourself, with the perfect balance of instructions and pauses, I will be coming back to it time and time again. I don t care if the teacher is new, I think he is brilliant. Thank you for a wonderful practice. Namaste.
This was very slow (not in a good way). The teacher was not present except through voice and seemed almost like he was not around when the class was being taught for the models. The models seemed confused and the class was disjointed. I kept with it hoping it would get better. Perhaps he is a new teacher. I think he is new on here. I am a very advanced practitioner so maybe it would be good for a beginner. He would be very good for relaxation and candlight classes bc his voice is very relaxing and soothing. I don t suggest this one if you need a pick me up.
Just what I needed today. Thank you!
