First time to do Claire s core work, and couldn t help but smile at the end of the class. More like a pat on the back for me. Roll-ups still a big challenge though, scolio making it hard for me. Not to cheat but I placed a thick towel under the space between the mat and my back and that seemed to help push me up. It is doable. Thank you, Claire, for this series. Will try them everyday.
Yep...all core, for sure! As I am trying to get back into condition, I know I need a core class at least every other day. Cant wait to try all in Caire s series.
Ive done all of Ckaire s Nothing But Core workouts. This I find is the most difficult for me, even more than the Turbocharged. The forearm planks are brutal and I have to break. Nevertheless these workouts are the best core I ve found. Thank you Claire.

All of Claire s Nothing But Core classes are great, but not easy, especially for a 75 year old guy like me. I firmly believe the core and back muscles are the most neglected and the most important especially as we get older. Claire provides a light hearted avenue to core strengthening. My joints are stiff and I opt out or modify some of the poses but I think it crucial to keep at it.

Modification is good! I ve got an artificial disc in my neck and am an 11 year cancer survivor who has had 9 surgeries. Without a strong core, I d be a mess!

This was hard but I loved it! Definitely got my core burning.
Excellent class. 5 star plus. I do other exercise so when I come to the booty and abs workout. I don t want a whole body workout like some of the classes are. I DO just want an abs / core. This class is quick and does as promises. A great strong core workout in a short time commitment. Loved it.

I haven t done pilates for a while so enjoyed getting back into it. This class packs a real punch but totally achievable and I liked the encouragement from Claire to make it through all those planks!
I love all of Claire s pilates classes on yoga download. I read the reviews of the killer planks at the beginning - because I have a shoulder injury, I ll never be able to go up and down during planks. I do it on my knees and it still is a workout. This is a great class to challenge your core in a short amount of time.
The plank holding at the beginning was the most challenging part. It was like diving into the deep end of the pool! Liked the rest much better. Glad to have quick and effective today.
The beginning is kind of evil, but you persevered and got to the end. Hope you are feeling stronger every day!

Good core workout
Based on Pilates movement
Quick, short and effective
Loved the Pilates core section and Claire s clear, gentle instruction. However, there s way too much strain on the shoulders during the plank section in the first five minutes. I work as a fitness instructor myself, and I wouldn t recommend this to anyone with a past shoulder injury. Otherwise, take breaks or come down onto the knees. If this isn t done with good form, you can collapse into the lower back and/or strain your neck and shoulders. I found that part really difficult, and I am pretty strong in my upper body.
Molly, thanks so much for your thoughtful review. Yes, the plank section is tough at the beginning, so modifying and building up to them is what students who don t yet have the strength to do them yet can do. Planks are whole body exercises, as you know, and so you need to really press into the forearms to activate the lats so the shoulder joint doesn t take over, engage the legs, press back through the feet too. That will prevent sinking into the joints and too much strain.
Also, it s funny because some of the reviews on this class say it isn t very hard! I think it s tough!
Very good workout. If you have lower back issues be gentle with yourself and modify as needed.

Excellent core workout. Killer planks at the beginning...I had to take a break. Great challenge, I m looking forward to trying it again and again until I m able to get through without a break.

This class has taught me what I need to work on, which is my core! I had to modify some of the sequences - and I didn t make it through the entire class - but I know that this is going on my practice schedule each week to help me build my core! Great class, Great workout! Thank you!

Great core workout, I felt this for literally 3 days afterward. It makes you appreciate your core muscles, I found myself standing up straighter and paying more attention to how my core stabilizes me when I walk or run. Another gem from Claire!

Tough plank series to start, followed by a variety of strengthening and centering moves. Perfect to add on to another class or do at the end of some cardio.
