Seemed promising, but the teachers descriptions as you move into poses is incomplete. She also does not name them so I found myself constantly looking at the screen to see what she was getting at, and then realising it was something simple like warrior 2. I stopped it half way through.

The myth of Dumavati inspired an introspective narrative for my practice, encouraged me face what s hard to look at, and look more deeply for the good—which can be hard to see. The sequence was a nice way to unwind my tight, sore body, release stress, and get up feeling refreshed. With Jeanie, when I m willing to open to what she s offering, with no other expectations, it is always profound practice.

I liked the teaching and meditation at the start and I enjoyed most of the poses. However like some other reviewers I found some aspects of the class disappointing: the sequence felt a bit disconnected and transitions were not very smooth. I had to check with the screen far more frequently than usual which did not lead to a very yogic practice. I felt the savasana at the end was rather long after a short class and was disappointed that the theme and teaching was not returned to at the end. Having said that I do appreciate the lotus flower on the murky pool analogy.

Beautiful, ponderous class. If you need to slow down a little, this is a wonderful practice. So relaxed and open afterwards.

Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful
thank you for this. I will come back to it anytime I need a restorative and yet engaged class.
I love the "murky pond and the lotus flower"
This made me feel sooooo great.
Merci!

While this class did do some great hip opening poses, I feel like it was slightly lacking! Hip openers are my favorite poses to focus on as hip tightness is one of my greatest struggles. I wish this class would have been a little longer for that reason, but otherwise, it was a great meditative class and really helped me center my thoughts on the goodness of life.

This is a wonderful practice if you have any loss or grief you are working out. It is a great practice if you don t have any issues with grief or loss but the spiritual contemplation is letting go of those tender hurts and looking for the light within.
I really enjoyed the practice spiritually and physically. Great hip openers throughout, a couple of nice balance poses, etc.
Yes there is a thigh stretch missing on one side - just pause and capture it then continue.

I enjoyed the relaxed pace of the class and I love the hip focus but it definitely was not my favorite. Like another reviewer said it seemed a little haphazard and getting in and out of the poses was a little awkward at times. It was missing a little bit of flow!

I really connected to the instructor s explanation of Dhumavati and what the goddess stands for. Good class. However, I feel like there could have been a few more hip opening poses for this deep hip surrender class. It is a slow class with some moving meditation. Perfect for a relaxing yoga session!

I think this class is accessible to all levels. Some parts of this class reminded me of a restorative class, and it is a perfect mix of some basic poses and restorative type poses, if that is what you are looking for. If you are looking to warm up the muscles of the legs prior to working into the stretches, then I would select a different class. All in all, I enjoyed the class for its purpose!

This is a good quiet introspective class. I needed it today. Perfect timing.

This is one of my least favorite classes I have eve done on yoga download. I felt like the level was too easy to be rated intermediate and that the instructions were unclear, especially regarding the use of props, which felt very haphazard. It bothered me a lot that she skipped the thigh stretch after pigeon on the left side, when she d included it on the right, and how abruptly the music ended at the end of the video. All in all, quite the let down, which was disappointing, because I like the concept.

I love the crone focus, but wish the class were a bit more intermediate. In the pigeon section, there is an entire quad stretch missed for the left side, had to pause video.

A beautiful release in the spirit of Dhumavati. I am left feeling open, accepting, and ready to flow into my day.

This was a good class for me to take today, to open my heart to surrender and letting go. The flow was great, but the spiritual insight was the best part for me. I do wish the class went a little slower to get deeper into the poses, but still a really lovely class.

Great class. Good hip openers and nice discussion of the spiritual side of this practice.

I recently sprained my hip so I was need of hip work. This class was exactly what I needed. Different from the other hip opener classes because she taught more than just the physical moves but also discussed the spiritual side.... which was smack on for what I needed too! This is a great class for anyone who does need to get more hip work in (which is about everyone) I can t wait to do more in this series.
