Some challenging poses but it was not a sweaty class

I absolutely love Forrest Yoga and Cher does not disappoint. Her classes are challenging yet meditative and soothing!

I did the 50 minute class. It was excellent and challenging in a different, refreshing way.

I took the 35 minute class and was very pleasantly surprised by the attention to the neck, since I have neck injuries and that is my major current challenge in doing vinyasa.
One tip: my particular session was nothing like an advanced "bring a towel" class, it was more like everyday yoga. It won t break a sweat unless you aren t used to holding poses. I look forward to more challenge with the longer sessions.

Exactly what I would expect from a good Forrest Hip and Shoulder class. More intermediate than advanced. Appreciated the clear instruction and cues.

I did the 65 min class. It was not hard and totally appropriate for a beginner. The camera work was poor. As an exampke Often you couldn t see their shoulders or back if that was what was being worked on.

I m disappointed that I was unable to play this video. It just stopped after 2minutes. Tried different lengths on different days.No lluck. Hope Iit can be fixed.

Enjoyed the class. It wasn t fast, but the instruction was very good, leading to depth in some of the poses that some of the faster classes wouldn t achieve. Some of the poses could achieve significant muscle intensity (also read burn) if you worked the muscle, breath and alignment as she suggested. I haven t done forest yoga before (ashtanga and vinyasa), but this was a good intro. I did the 50 m class and wished I had done the 65 minute one. Will do again.

Very slow paced which is fine but the class did not gel - the sequence was not particularly sastisfying and it was more intermediate than advanced. Would not try another class by thus instructor.

My first Forrest Yoga class. It won t be my last. Amazing openers and quite a nice workout. When bakasana feels like a relief you know you ve done some work! Cher is obviously a master of the technique.

Very deliciously challenging holds with incredible back and shoulder openings and the ever intense ostrich pose! Good hip and psoas opening as well. I felt like a got a really good stretch into the ligaments and it is always so nice to let the head and neck go. I built heat and sweated a bit, but no towel necessary.
Thanks for a great full body class.

Beautiful! The 65 min version really goes deep with long holds. Shaking legs and calming for the mind, perfect Forrest yoga class!

What a great find. This philosophy combines Iyengar and Vinyassa together. I did this class two days in a row. I love the coaching and flow. So glad I tried something new. Ah yoga letting go and trusting the universe.

Great class from Cher. I liked her cues, her style, and she warmed up the body and made the sequence in way that was beneficial to my muscles and ligaments. I also liked the warm down. As a Forrest Yoga teacher I can be picky - thank you for a great class!

This is a very amazing hip and heart opening class. The instructor is very descriptive in her queues.
Thank you. That was amazing!

I love this class! I ve been doing the audio version for over a year now. It s challenging, with long holds. Even so, Cher s voice and instructions help me peace out.

This was my first class of Forrest yoga. I did the 35 minute audio class. I enjoyed it, at times I wished for an extra second or two in a pose or before switching sides, and there were a couple moments where I felt her cues lacked clarity, but overall I enjoyed it and would do it again.

this was my first Forrest yoga class and it was great! i feel energized yet relaxed. the time really did fly by despite the slower paced movements. really enjoyed the variety of poses and longer holds as well as Cher s instruction. she does a great job of explaining the purpose of each pose while teaching a bit about the Forrest style {good for me since i m new to it.}. can t wait to practice this style again! :)

With bad or no cue s nor any descriptions my frustration with the class was truly summed up at the end when the instructor says "find a way to lengthen your back in this pose". That comment/direction really says it all. I went to this expecting a challenge and was disappointed at the least. I didn t feel it was a yoga class, it felt more as though it was someone who used to teach people to stretch and threw some attempts at yoga in. After 1 hour I feel as though I will need to come home and do another class, if I didn t somehow injure myself during this one.

Instruction was not very clear and I feel like I would have been lost had I not been watching the video. My personal opinion is that the poses are held too long and I am worried I will injured myself from them.

I really enjoyed this class. There is an emphasis on strength and release, particularly in the neck and upper back, which is great for someone like me who is constantly hunched over a computer or a book for work. I got a good stretch throughout my hips and lower back as well. You will feel the burn in your core and legs as well. To be honest, I had no idea what she was talking about a lot of times with her cuing, but other users thought it was great so I think it s just a matter of inexperience on my part-- I still really enjoyed her tone and the pace of the class. I highly recommend this class when you want both a good stretch/release and a strength challenge/good sweat.

This was the most beautiful class. My spine feels so relieved from the awful office life I subject it to daily!!

I made the mistake of doing this after a heavy leg workout a few times - ouch! This class is great, and like all the Forrest Yoga classes, there are a few spots where you hold a pose for a long time. I love the focus on alignment and strength, and it s a nice change from the other types of vinyasa yoga classes. I hope we continue to get more forrest yoga classes, and Cher is a great instructor!

cher is an excellent instructor. she knows how to really explain the poses while keeping you connected to your breath. i needed something new and forrest yoga fulfilled my goal for today s practice!

I really enjoyed this practice, instructions were clear, and the pace was great, really slow and steady, but a solid "burn"/workout. I feel great right now.
