This is another addition to our slower more mellow Gentle Hatha yoga series of classes. This class is restorative and soothing and can be done by candlelight for added restorative benefits. This class can be done any time of day, but is best to do at night, before bed, or any time you need to let go of stress, let go of the outer world and go deep inside to a place of utter calm and serenity.
The 60 and 45 min. classes include Chandra Namaskar, which is a Moon Salutation and is the counterpart to the more common Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskar).

Absolutely amazing. I love your cues and your calming voice. Beautiful.
This class is great. I did the 60 minute class and it is a beautiful gentle flow to start with followed by a very nice set of postures. Very good after days of more active yoga, particularly if you re a bit sore but still want to feel stretched out.
I LOVE this class. I only downloaded the 20 minute one but it is perfect at the end of a long day just before I head to bed. Plow is still a challenge but I am slowly getting there. I like Lisa s instructions and am looking at the Solar flow to see what that is like. But if you want a soothing class this is for you.
I ve tried both the 20, 30 and 45 minute classes during an especially tough week and they re all great! Just what I needed to get in touch with my body, unwind and focus on my breathing. Didn t think i d enjoy an audio class so much but the instructions are really clear and the instructor s voice and music are so relaxing. Will try the 60 minute class next time!
I am just beginning yoga after many years. This was great, except the plow (which I could not do).
This class was awesome! Some great deep stretches but also very relaxing. I did the 45 minute and will definitely be back for the 60!
Lunar flow lived up to expectations. I wanted a gentle sequence because it was too late to get super hard workout in, but too early to just go to sleep. This was actually my very first download from this site. I REALLY enjoyed not being distracted by a video especially for a relaxing moment like this. I recommend this site AND the lunar flow to anyone! I can t wait to try more!

Very mild. Mostly stretching. No sun salutations. No warriors. Very pleasant voice.
A wonderful class to help the mind and body decompress from the day and prepare for sleep. This is one of my favourites that I keep coming back to.
I followed the 30-minute class and had the best night s sleep I ve had in a long time. I didn t get to sleep right away; it took about a half hour. But I slept through the night, which I don t always do, and I woke up refreshed. Thank you!
The lunar flow is new to me, and I enjoyed the change of pace and a different flow sequence. Easy to follow instructions.
I found this to be a wonderful gentle class before bed.

I keep coming back to this class- I love the series, the pace and poses. This class is just what my body craves after soreness from running or just a long day.
My favourite relaxed style class on YogaDownload. Have done it several times. My go to for a quiet evening. Highly recommended!
The free 20 minute podcast was a fast favorite when I began practicing yoga in late 2008. Today I still enjoy coming back to this class weekly. I turn to this class when my back pain flares up, when I want a long deep twist, or when I need to calm my mind before bed. I highly recommend all 4 (20, 30, 45 & 60 minute) classes.
I think it s all been said...calm, soothing, easy to follow. I did the 30 minute version and it was perfect to wind down before bed. Some of the session is the same as the Moon Salutations but I really liked the half pigeon and plow variations. Nicely done! Like others have mentioned I would love to see more relaxation classes from Lisa Richards.
I love this class and wish Lisa would make more of these mellow sessions to practise before bedtime.
The 20 min class is WONDERFUL right before bed, esp.if you are tense from a long day at work. Simply perfect. What a treat to give yourself before bedtime. Her voice and the music are very mellow and soothing. I like it so much, I m considering downloading one of the longer classes - maybe the 30 min one. This is a peaceful stretching and relaxing class - almost a moving meditation.
My favorite class here! I fell in love with it from the first time I tried it. Highly Recommend it.
This is my ultimate go-to class when I m not feeling well. I always walk away better aligned and mentally refreshed. This class is wonderful for strechting out without over doing it. The 45 min slow and peaceful flow is perfect for my lunch break before returning to the office. I would highly suggest this class to anyone.
The only reason the 20 minute workout doesn t get 5 stars is that it s not really long enough. This is a great put-you-to-sleep-before-bed "workout" but an extra 10 minutes to get into more stretches and hold longer would be great. This is in no way shape or form a workout of any intensity, but it s a moving meditation to help center you before bed. I am excited to try the 30 minute version before bed tomorrow!
i really enjoyed this class; it was very relaxing yet refreshing at the same time and it perked me up without the heart pumping and sweatiness associated with most flow classes. i took one star off because of the end of the class: lisa leaves you to rest in savasana and the background music stays at the same volume, which is fine when you re doing the poses because you re concentrating on lisa s voice but in savasana, it was all i could hear and it wasn t very soothing at all. it was actually very distracting and my practice didn t really end on a good note.
This is my favourite restorative class- it is challenging enough that I still feel like I have done something, and I feel absolutely blissful when it is over. I would love to see more restorative classes from Lisa Richards, A 90 minute class would be great!
Loving this class in the evening. I bought the 30min class.
Exactly what your mind ( and body) need after a long day. I love this class for anytime I know I should be practicing Yoga, but really have no energy left after a long day. It is calming and relaxing for both body and mind. Do yourself a favor, get the 60 minute class, even if you think you are really tired, the benefits are well worth it. Nice length Savasana at the end!
This class is completely blissful, I love it. Perfect for moon days.
I did the 60 minute version last night and it was a nice gentle flow with some very relaxing backbends. I think I prefer the shorter versions to the 60 minute, but I did enjoy this version very much. Please add more of these evening restorative classes. I prefer this one much more than Moon Salutations.
This workout is very calming, i love to light candles and put this in and just enjoy the movements. The instructors are the best and do a great job of explaining how to do each pose to that the pose guides are not neccessary.
This is my favorite flow for nighttime. If I don t get to yoga in the morning, I always do this immediately after returning home from work when I m warm from the walk and it helps to re-center my thoughts and slow down my breathing. Nice, slow, meditative flow.
This is overall my favorite class for calming the body and mind.
I love doing this class more than anything.
I really like this class - it is one of my favorites. 20+ minutes is really a perfect amount of time to feel as if you get full benefits from this flow. And boy, does it relax!
I am enjoying this class very much. Until now I avoided doing yoga in the evening because exercise usually interferes with my sleep. This yoga class allows a deeper sense of relaxation and connection to happen that is appropriate to do prior to bedtime. I`m looking forward to more evening appropriate yoga classes.
I`m really enjoying Lisa`s classes including this one. I downloaded the 60min after doing the podcast and enjoying it so much. This will gently and firmly extend your practice.
