Another genius class form master Anusara-Inspired instructor, Roger Martin-Pressman. Roger's theme for this class is based around the concept of being able to support yourself to move forward in a positive way. Thus, "Do it Yourself". It is an inspirational and motivating class that will challenge you physically, mentally, and emotionally.
The class offers lots of yummy heart openers as well as deep hip stretches, and shoulder openers. You will be left feeling open to possibility, both inside and out!

Very balanced and encouraging practice.
Non-stop talking combined with very convoluted explanations on how to get into a basic pose.
I enjoyed this class for the message primarily. for me, this wasn t a pump up the energy, let s go win the game type inspiration. it was more calming, about being peaceful in our own inner strength and reliance, reminding us that it s there to fall back on. I love that he keeps bringing us back to our intention. I have ADHD. I really need that redirection, and his was perfect.
the flow was very smooth, the holds not quite long enough to make me focus on strength. I built up a light sweat. again, not an energy pumper, but a nice workout. finally was able to get into half moon--and hold it! it s all about the inner calm on that pose for me, apparently. but I had difficulty with crow, which I ve had in my arsenal for a couple of years. hm.
i ll download it and do it again.
I loved this class. Roger has great descriptive words that allows one to practice at home but not miss out on needed instruction.
Perfect class for days when I just want to go slower and loose myself in the instructions. The poses are not unique but the focus on the lower back brings a whole new awareness to each pose making them deeper and more powerful.
This class was just the inspiration to remind me to stand upon my own strength and offer what is strong inside of me. Perfect after a difficult day, and my body feels alive and strong too. Thanks

Different strokes and all that (and I m glad that so many people did enjoy this class), but this one was definitely not for me. I m writing this review because, frankly, I m perplexed. I went outside on a beautiful day expecting something great ... I found a lot of talk, vague and confusing cues for very normal poses (look at the pose guide - there s nothing weird on it, but what turned out to be a simple side angle, for instance, had me flustered until I looked), and an extremely slow moving and boring flow. I like the vast majority of YD classes, but not this one.
I ve done this class twice now; was not sure after the first time how I felt about it. Today, I wanted to do something different than a regular class. I m so glad I did. The cues where great. It s not the typical flow of a class as he has you doing "thread the needle" as one of the first few postures three times. He asks you to "offer your heart" which makes you feel grounded and serene. He also says: "Puff your kidneys" which is new to me but it gets his point across. Bottom line: I enjoyed the class & will be repeating it often. Also, the music wasn t too loud. I like the video so I can glance at it to make sure I m understanding correctly what he is doing. There is a nice long savasana at the end. Namaste .
This class is simply great and Roger is a great teacher; the pace of the class is not fast, allowing you to get a real stretch in the muscle, as well as the strength from holding the poses. I am recovering from a pelvic injury, and the poses in this class help me to focus on my lower back and my alignment, and have led me to be more conscious of my core on a daily basis, in and outside of the yoga practice. Roger also connects the practice to a deeper meaning, and I find his cues to be inspiring and helpful in my personal life as well as offering great cues in the practice for how to find correct alignment. I am in love with this class.

Tempered, thorough instruction and incorporated dharma without weird new-age-spiritualism vibe.
The class is challenging with a slower pace focusing on good alignment (Anusara at it s best). I also prefer the kind of music in the background - just neutral background house-beats without any distraction. I can retake this course several times without feeling like I ve "done this before."
Challenging and empowering - just how I like my yoga. This class manages to be relaxing yet made me work up a sweat. Thanks Roger!
Great class!! I feel very relaxed with perfect cues and new perspectives on things. I love the relaxed feel of this class while still feeling strong in all the poses. Awesome!
Absolutely love this class. The cues are great and well timed. I seem to get a lot more out of Roger s classes than I seem to of anyone else which is great. Somehow I seem to tune into the descriptions better and I feel like my positioning is better. I m going to download some more of his now!

I ve been doing yoga for 20 years now and am always looking for new ways to appreciate poses, experience new openings and find sequences that inspire me. This was the class and I m already looking forward to doing it again!
