This is an absolute beginner yoga class and is perfect for those who are completely new to yoga. The class begins with a small amount of calming breathwork designed to quiet the mind and prepare you for class. Then you move through a few warm up poses and into Sun Salutation A. The longer versions include a balancing sequence as well as some other basic poses, and the full-length class includes a Sun Salutation B series. Absolute beginners should start with the 20 or 30 minute class and then work your way up.
The class is very basic, slow-paced and easy to follow. Just be careful because once you master this class you will be hooked and ready to move on to other YogaDownload classes! Enjoy!

Really disappointed! Is this meant for a beginner, no video just audio? So confusing!! How can you learn to do Yoga without seeing someone demonstrate the positions? I give up on this site!!
This is my first time completing a guided yoga at home, usually I give up trying to watch a video while attempting a pose, but the audio option with a pose guide was perfect. I will be back tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day... The instructor was very easy to follow and listen to. Thank you, I feel great.

Very amusing and easy to follow. The voice is really relaxing and the explanations are clear.
Overall I enjoyed the 20min, 30min and 45min sessions but I do have one key complaint about them...
The pose guide for the 30min session does not match up with the audio class. After the third Down Dog it skips the Leg High and Half Pigeon poses by going straight to Spine Twist/Savassana. This is frustrating being I specifically picked the 30min session based on time and these certain stretches.
The 45min pose guide also does not match up with it s audio class; audio skips the Leg High, Half Pigeon and final Dog Dog poses by going straight to Seated Twist, Bridge, etc.
I didn t bother checking the 60mins audio class/pose guide.
The 20min session does match up w/it s pose guide.
Had these errors not occurred I would have rated this class 5 stars.
Easy to follow instructions and poses are easy to manage and/or modify. Instructor tells you how to modify if you cannot do the pose at this time. I have tried yoga classes in the past but have been intimidated due to age, obesity, and inflexibility. This is a wonderful way to get started on your own with no prying eyes or snickers.
I have never been successful in a yoga class setting, or even with videos demonstrating the movments. I get tense, trying to look at the visual and attempt it myself, totally defeating my purpose. So happy I found this site, and I am very pleased I chose the 30 and 45 minute classes to start. I have done both classes twice so far, and I am beginning to get better :) I love this instuctor, her voice is very calming and the descriptions she uses easily lead you through the movments.
Great Instructor! I did the poses like I never have before and understood them better than ever. Loved the 30 min version. Will try the other ones too!
Great class for me. Clear instructions, great voice, good reminders to tweak the postures, worked up a sweat without feeling exhausted. This will be my go-to workout for the next few weeks.
I really enjoyed this! I m a begin-again yoga student, who is coming back with some trepidation. I m not strong enough yet to do a full hour (and have embarrassed myself in a couple of classes attempting to do so). I ve been doing restorative, and decided to take the 30-minute version of this class to start pushing myself. It was a perfect fit.
This class is essentially a step through of one simple variation of Surya Namaskara. It was too slow for me, but admittedly it is positioned for beginners and is only 20 minutes. I am easing back into yoga practice after a gap and an injury, so I thought I would give this series a shot.
Will try the 30 minute class in this series next and see if that is a little more robust.
I love this class - I do it in the mornings after a run and it s a great cool down, stretches me out, and relaxes me.
The speed is perfect for a novice like me (I ve done classes so know the poses once I ve been reminded of them!). The 20 mins is also a great length for me in the mornings, as I don t have either the time or the patience to do longer.
What I would find helpful is being talked in to the meditation at the end - I can t just switch off my brain, and find it easier to have a guided meditation to focus my breathing.
This was amazing! Unlike many of the reviewers, I had no intention of subscribing to the website - I was only interested in the free 20 minute quickie . I m hooked! The instructor s voice is so smooth and pleasant, and she s very encouraging. The 20 minutes goes by so fast, I have no choice now but to sign up for a subscription, so I can have access to the longer lessons!
I highly encourage this class for all the beginners, and the begin-againners!
This was fantastic. Just exactly what I needed. I m so happy I joined. I was an avid yogi for years and when I switched jobs 2 years ago became "too busy" to keep up with yoga. I came to this site hoping to find a way to ease back into practice. This is perfect.
This is a great introduction to yoga or for anyone who has some experience with yoga but hasn t practiced in a while (me). It s relaxing and slightly challenging with good suggestions for altering poses to make them easier.
A sensible approach for the beginner. Jackie, the instructor, has a style which is calm and reassuring. She chose poses that were attainable without discomfort for probably anyone. At the end I felt challenged in a positive way. I feel this is a program that I will be able to stick with. Thanks for developing such a wonderful course.
I practiced the twenty minute set for my first attempt at yoga and I have to say that I was extremely pleased. I felt so wonderful and relaxed afterward -- in addition to the pressure on my lower back having been relieved! The following day at work, as I felt the stress of the work day settling in, all I could think about was getting back to the mat to let it all go again. Which is exactly what I did!
I tried the free version (20 min) as i was trying to decide whether to subscribe to the website. I love it! Great voice (which is very important to me), great music, great flow, the pose chart is very helpful... thumbs up!
This is a really great class. I have been doing the podcasts for sometime and was worried this would be too easy but it was not. My husband is incredibly unflexible and he really enjoyed this too. It was just right!
I tried the free 20 minute version. this is the first taste of yoga I have had. I found it quite relaxing, not too difficult. I think I will try more....
Our local yoga podcast group featured an open house with the 20 minute version. A great introduction to get people on the mat who have never done yoga before! Wonderful feedback from individuals attending.

I did this class with a friend who had never tried yoga, and it was amazing. It is the perfect class for a beginner of any age. Jackie guides you through every posture in a very clear and simple way. This is a wonderful class.
