Welcome to Day 8 of the 21-Day Yoga Challenge: Time to Shine!

Monday, September 16. 

You're in the second week. Are you noticing any changes physically or mentally yet? We'd love to hear how it's going today. It can be easy for the challenge to start feeling like a chore, and your class something you have to do. Today we want to encourage you to avoid falling into this trap, and remember these minutes on your mat are something to look forward to, and possibly moments where you feel your best in your day.

Remember to really enjoy your practice as best you can. It's been proven that goals with an element of fun in them, are more successful.

Mandala of the Victorious with Ben Davis

60 min class | Level: Adv. Beginner & Up | Intensity: You'll Feel It

Fitness 'n' Yoga: Mandala of the Victorious is a powerful flow that evokes focus and presence as you journey in a circle on your mat. The Sanskrit word "mandala" loosely translates to mean "circle" or "disc." A mandala is also a geometric figure that is used to represent the universe. As you navigate the warrior's universe on your mat, draw upon these words from Dan Millman for guidance: "When you begin your transcendental training, focusing your best efforts, without attachment to outcomes, you will understand the peaceful warrior's way." Ultimately a victorious warrior is a peaceful warrior claiming victory while traveling the path of non-violence. 


Freedom Flow with Jackie Casal Mahrou

30 min class | Level: Intermediate | Intensity: You'll Feel It

Free your mind and body with this challenging, warming, and flowing vinyasa class focusing on twisting, balancing, and lengthening. You will flow through creative Sun Salutation sequences that will prepare you for a peak balancing series of Parivrtta Ardha Chandrasana (Revolved Half Moon), Reverse Dancers, and Parsva Bakasana (Side Crow). Throughout class Jackie invites you to become aware of your repetitive thoughts so you can free yourself from the patterns that hold you back from pure freedom.
