Welcome to Day 3 of the 21-Day Yoga Challenge: Time to Shine!

Wednesday, September 11. 

Welcome back to your mats yogis! You're on your way and we hope you're feeling amazing today. Part of a challenge is the ability to branch out and explore some different styles of yoga and new teachers.

While some of us are creatures of habit and prefer the same styles and teachers, and others need variety, most of us are probably somewhere between those two extremes. If you're newer to yoga, it's important to shop around a little until you find a style that your body enjoys. If you're experienced in yoga, but sometimes fall away from your practice, it might just be your body telling you it's time to try new styles of yoga. 

Today you've got the chance to explore Iyengar yoga with Dana H., in a unique class that targets your core and will have you feeling muscles you may never pay attention to. Or, you can explore Power Vinyasa yoga with Robert.

Core Strength the Iyengar Way with Dana Hanizeski

35 min class | Level: Adv. Beginner & Up | Intensity: You'll Feel It

In Iyengar Yoga we learn that the work of the arms and legs must be integrated with the work of the core. This will bring an experience of true core strength. This strength-building class will teach you how to stabilize with your core while working your limbs in poses like Locust Pose, 4-Limbed Staff Pose, and Side Plank (Vasistha’s) Pose.


Power Functional Vinyasa with Robert Sidoti

50 min class | Level: Intermediate | Intensity: Bring a Towel

This class is designed to challenge you, to build full body strength, increase your endurance and stamina, it will feel like a workout at times, it will bring the results you're looking for, it will be accessible/useful while being very functional as we use movements like squats, push-ups, lunges, twists, bends ... all the movements that the average human (yourself) do or should do everyday to keep the body healthy, strong and mobile! You will feel accomplished after this practice. This practice also provides plenty of moments to enjoy the stretch you crave, the satisfying breaths you need and some space in the mind to relax and free yourself from the daily 'to do's. Hope you enjoy!
