Dawnelle is a Yoga Alliance certified instructor. She has completed various teacher training sessions including; 200 hours in Eclectic Hatha Yoga from The Institute of Progressive Therapies in San Diego, California; 200 hours in both Power Yoga and Hot Yoga from CorePower Yoga Studios in Denver, Colorado. She also holds a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from Iowa State University.
Dawnelle brings a rich and varied background to her classes. She has been a student of various yoga styles for many years and believes in its ability to have a profound effect on ones life. Dawnelle has gained a large following of loyal students and is revered for her challenging and creative classes. Her background in physiology allows her to pay particular attention to correct alignment and her rhythmic and flowing style of teaching focuses on connecting movement with the breath. She is very enthusiastic and encouraging in her classes and hopes her students can find the strength, compassion and self acceptance that her practice has helped her to find.
Dawnelle teaches a variety of yoga and fitness classes at several different studios, including her own studio, Seasons, which she opened in early 2006. Dawnelles studio offers innovative classes such as Detox Yoga and Spin-Yoga which incorporates a 30 min. spin class with 30 minutes of yoga. She is dedicated to providing unique and fun classes that challenge her students while providing them with complete head-to-toe fitness, both inside and out.
