iRest Yoga Nidra - Easing into Stillness

Lead by Karen Soltes, iRest Yoga Nidra is an evidence-based transformative practice of deep relaxation and meditative inquiry that releases negative emotions and thought patterns, calms the nervous system, and develops the capacity to find a sense of well being in all the circumstances that life may present. This course is dedicated to the military Veterans and service members who have given immeasurably to the benefit of all. Karen Soltes is a clinical social worker, yoga teacher, and certified iRest Yoga Nidra teacher.

This program is divided into tracks that can be used to create customized playlists depending ont he time available and the intention for a particular meditation. The first track is an introduction that may be repeated as necessary. The final track is a guided body scan that can be used to relax, to facilitate sleep, or when a shorter practice is desired. The follwoing tracks may be combined for the following intentions:

Improved Sleep: Tracks 2, 3, 4
Relaxation: Tracks 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10
Working with emotions: Tracks 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 10
Working with negative beliefs: Tracks 2, 3, 4, 7, 9, 10
To restore energy: Tracks 3, 4, 9, 10
For sleep and relaxation: Track 11
