This is a very unique class and is a great way to mix up your typical yoga routine! Qi Barre consists of precision movements performed with the help of a hand rail (which can be anything, such as the back of a chair or couch, or a counter top). It incorporates stationary ballet techniques that will sculpt and lift your legs, buns and core like no other. Dawnelle uses her signature "holds" and "pulses" throughout and works to push and motivate you to your edge. Qi Barre will allow you to create focused strength, chiseled buns, and watch your dancer's body emerge!

Fabulous instructor - for those not familiar with barre class or ballet, each move is carefully explained in detail. As a beginner, I was grateful for the extra time to ease into the moves, check my form, and benefit from the intense leg workout. Now that I m familiar with the moves though, I m not sure I ll do the workout again as it s so instruction-heavy.
Love this class..easy to follow but challenging,muscles burning! I like that it is 30 , can do it almost anywhere, even audio. Do not have to be a dancer to do can t wait to do again and try her other classes..Thanks!!

Wow. I felt like all the yoga I have been doing would make this an easy intro...! I am in pretty solid shape and I was quivering and sweating by the end. I love it..can t wait to do more! If you have never done barre or ballet, this was the perfect start and a great workout!
I love all of the Qi barre classes on the site and this is a great intro! I love that I can do this at home, in my living room at my convenience. I ve been doing these classes for weeks now and can completely see a different in my body- both visually and the way I feel. I love love love these classes and hope they add more.
Way too basic if you ve ever done barre, but good for beginners I guess.
Something is wrong with the file though- it stopped at about minute 25 and started over. I did not get to complete the class which was a little annoying.

Very basic class, but boy do you feel it! My legs were shaking and I ve been taking Barre classes for years!
Ballet inspired class will keep you "on your toes" literally. Hard workout - you will feel it even in your FEET!! But, you can feel that it s working in your legs and your backside. A challenge each time, but one I will keep taking on.
This is a great intro class for anyone new to Barre. The cues are really helpful and you will definitely feel your muscles burn.
At first I thought I would want this to get more advanced. 10 minutes in, I was screaming (inside) for the class to stop. You will definitely feel the burn of this class!

You will feel the burn!! A great workout while my 17 month old naps.. And I love that I can do it at home!! Will be doing this daily. I can not wait for the next class. Though it will be a bit before I try. This class kicked my butt. My legs are still shaking.. Thank you!
New to barre. My legs quivered the entire time and I had a hard time walking down stairs after this routine. Definitely doing this workout for my "legs" day! Thanks so much for a great workout!

Great class! Fantastic instructor!! I studied ballet as a kid so this class really took me back. Wonderful workout for the legs, core and posture. Will definitely add this class into my other Yogadownload.com weekly class rotation. Dawnelle is such a gifted instructor! Honestly, I don t know where Yogadownload.com gets their instructors but each one is top-notch!!
Great class! I can t believe I got that much burn in just 30 minutes. Wonder if I ll be able to walk tomorrow. I could really feel this class engage my glutes, and the cues were great for keeping the glutes engaged the whole time. Will definitely keep doing this, and add it to my yoga practice. I hope there are a lot more of these to come! Gotta practice this one a bit more, then I ll be excited to move on to Qi Barre 2.

Great class - very clear instruction (as usual with Dawnelle) and a really good workout for strength and balance. I m very much looking forward to more of these classes.

For such a short workout, it really packs a lot of punch! Because it s the first class in the series, the explanations take up about 10 minutes, leaving 20 minutes for actual work. However, those 20 minutes are difficult and well worth it. I will be incorporating this into my weekly routine!
Amazing class. I can already tell that walking will be hard tomorrow. The pose guide is very helpful, and the instruction was specific and well timed. Can t wait for the next class in the series!
I just finished this - WOW. I am not sure I will be able to walk tomorrow, it was awesome! And only 30 minutes, what a bonus. Very simple, which is great, as I am new to this. She suggests printing out the pose guide and listening once through before doing the class, which I did, and I found to be very beneficial. Very challenging. I have been doing yoga for many years but have found that my inner thighs and inner calf muscles are very weak (particularly now, as I have taken up horseback riding). They will not be weak if I keep this up. Great core work, and my legs were shaking as I tried to drag my chair (which I used for a prop) back into the kitchen. Love it, and will definitely buy the next one(s).
