If you want more than a mere physical workout, you will love this class. Casey does a great job in transforming the intuitive feel of a real class into her video. And didn t you always want to know why the fish pose is called fish pose?

I m surprised that the previous reviewer thought this class was easy to follow. Casey does provide some interesting information about the poses and make an effort to go beyond the physical, but it was difficult to gain any benefit from the class due to the lack of clarification about the poses. I do classes from this site daily and normally I don t need the pose guides or additional help but with this class I was completely lost in the middle. The flow was also much too fast at the beginning; she had us breathing like marathon runners! Maybe this is not a good flow for a short class.

Beginning with a chant and specific offering and intention, the focus of the practice in my mind was immediately set apart from the power vinyasa style I’m used to. I can see that a more unfamiliar practitioner might appreciate more of an explanation of Jivamukti prior to beginning a chant or a practice specialized in this style of yoga, but Casey shared much of the Jivamukti philosophy throughout the practice. As far as the physical practice, I really enjoyed it. It was flowing, and well cued, and offered a lot of heart openers. I appreciated the use of Sanskrit and English for describing the asanas. Casey has a gentle and beautiful voice.

I really appreciated this class combination of foundational yoga poses with the encouragement to press to my edge. Enhanced with the reminder to bring an intention with you to the mat, this class is a challenge and an inspiration- I enjoyed beginning my day with it. Thank you.
